A wonderful good Monday morning to all of you here at the Den! It is raining where I am,it has been all night, but the day nevertheless kicked off very well for me with a wonderful shave: Calani Cadre Noir shave soap Mühle Basic Nr.2 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre Merkur 11C open comb KAI Klinge (new) Musgo Real Classic After Shave It was the first time I used a KAI blade and I have to say I was impressed. I find it a very sharp blade, a touch milder than the Feather but very close to it in terms of sharpness. I did a 2-pass this morning (it always seems easier with a 3-day-beard) and got the thumbs-up from SHMBO in terms of smoothness of the endresult! Picked up a new razor Saturday at an antique mall. Set the bevel on a 1000 King and then took it to lapping film (3um and 1um). It was popping HHT's before stropping. 5/8, J.S. Holler, German made. This will be the razor of the week for me. I'll play around with 2 new soaps, AOS Sandalwood and QCS Tangerine. adult image hosting

No phone, no noise, no teenage boys pointing and laughing at me for taking pics. of my "shaving crap". I really do enjoy the time alone sometimes. That's when I get most of my thinking done. Now back to use up this blade. Another cream that I hadn't used in a long time. I'd been using only soaps, but last week was Bigelow cream, and this week will be KMF.

Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Wilkinson Sword Italian Palmolive Menthol SC Diana Sport Menthol Balsam Obsession For Men EDT Back to my trusty Super Speed which always gives me awesome and comfortable shaves when I'm in a hurry to get to work. It looks like I'll be using the Dovo only once or twice a week if or when time permits me. The Palmolive Menthol cream from Italy and the Diana Sport balsam delivered the best of the freeze!

Monday 27 February Omega travel brush face lather Mama Bear's Awakenings Stick EJ89, with Voskhod (D1) Booster Polar Ice, and Nivea Cool Kick ASB This was a very good shave, smooth and cool, atleast a DFS++. This was my first use of the Voskhod and I was very pleased, it seemed sharper and smoother than the Gillette Yellow's I have been using. Coupled with the EJ89 worked very well for me. So I had a nice shave, and I went into work where everything has been out of control for five days, and magically everything seemed to be in control. I would not have been shocked to find flying monkees this morning, but I got peace, quiet, and it appears resolution. OOH, and a monster cup of hot black coffee (that didn't hurt either) This has been a fantastic morning, I hope you do to.

A DFS to get my week started is always nice though, plus, I have quite a few things in the postal system headed my way so it should be a really fun 'haul' week. Havea great day!
