Open Comb SE/DE PIF *DONE*

This PIF gives you the opportunity to add 2 open comb razors to your Den. These razors are night & day to each other. The DE open comb is very mild while the SE open comb is very efficient.

I received this from Jake in a PIF from last August. I shaved with it 2-3 times but it is just too mild for me so I'm passing it on.


SE: Gem OCMM:
This is my favorite razor & I look forward to someone else having a chance to experience the shave utopia that is the OCMM. It's definitely user grade and the case is a bit busted, but it shaves splendidly!


Also included will be a DE blade sampler including 1 tuck of Voskhod (not pictured), Derby, & Astra SP. 10 SE blades (not pictured) will also be included and they are the Ted Pella PTFE stainless blades. Shipping to CONUS covered by me; international will need to cover the additional fees.

Pictorial Scavenger Hunt

I love pictures, and I love showing my shaving gear to others. I hope this PIF will accomplish both of these goals. Below you will see several objectives that must be accomplished with photographic evidence. The first to satisfy all requirements and then answer correctly an anatomy trivia question that I will PM will win the PIF. All pictures must include something from your shave gear (i.e.: razor, brush, soap, etc), and yes it must be visible and somewhat identifiable. All pictures are to be posted in this thread so we may all enjoy the pictures that I hope this PIF brings.

Objectives:

1. Picture of you.
2. Picture of 3 others. You may get all 3 people in 1 picture but each person must be holding on to something shave related.
3. In a restaurant.
4. In a vehicle (please don't try to take pictures while you're also driving!)
5. At work. If unemployed, just use a messy desk or computer or something. Be creative!
6. Miscellaneous - something, somewhere, somehow not already covered here. Again, be creative!
7. In front of a computer with the TSD site loaded in the background.

While it is possible to combine multiple objectives into a single picture I will be requiring a separate picture for each objective (remember, I love pictures!). You may only complete 1 objective per day and may only use each picture once even if it meets the requirements of multiple objectives. So this PIF will take a minimum of 1 week to complete. Objectives may be completed in any order. When you post your picture please also post which objective # you are completing with said picture.

 

What the heck, I'm in. Here is My #6 Miscellaneous picture. My Weck Sextoblade in front of some MRAPs at Kandahar Airfield.



The second pic is just so you can see the razor better, since the first one was focused on the MRAPs.

 

Can I get a clarification on the rules? If I'm interpreting the objectives correctly, Aside from #1 and #2, no people need to be in the picture, correct? Just my shaving gear in those situations, right or am I off?

 

You are correct. Shaving gear must be in each picture. The only objectives requiring people in the pictures are #1 & #2. I don't have to have faces (privacy concerns and all that) but I just want to see that some others are getting exposed to the kit that we love and enjoy. I'm hoping that this will be a way to kick start some conversations and possibly convert some of our lost brothers and sisters of the blade!

Excellent pic Dusty. And that looks like a camera that my wife would really like. She's the photog in my family. I think she'll really like this shot! I look forward to seeing your future submissions! Your Den looks great too, btw!

 

Picture #2 (Objective #7)

Pictured are my 195 Adjustable, Sheraton, TSD Custom Razor, and GEM 1912.

 

It embarrasses me to post a crappy cell phone pic, but I couldn't pass this one up ... three guys I bowl with that need a shave real bad. Needless to say, there was no way I was convincing these guy.

You know what the worst part about this PIF is??? Waiting a whole day to post another picture!!!

 

Dusty, you bowl with a couple of engineers, eh? (note the 'eh' was added to imply a questioning tone, not just because you're Canadian )

 

just one is an engineer ... good eye though !!!

 

I was figuring 2 with the "Order of the Engineer" rings on their pinky fingers...

 

one is, the other isn't - the one's just a normal ring (middle).

 

Awesome pics KJ. I'm humbled to think my little PIF is being played all the way over in the Middle East. I have a good friend that's part of JAG in Jordan or Kuwait. I'm not totally sure nor do I think he can say exactly where he is. I thank you for your sacrifice to serve us & our country. What type of things are you doing over there? I understand if you can't say. How much longer do you have on your tour?
