Aaron gifted me a tuck of the Rapira Swedish Super Steel blades. The first one I didn't much care for, but I seem to have turned the corner on blade number two. I can't ask for more than 4 comfortable shaves from a blade. If I didn't have a decade worth of blades at home, I would probably pick some up.

Or get your self some unscented witch hazel. I use the Unscented Thayers and it's great. No awful medicinal smell that makes you want to gag and as it is just like water, it doesn't interfere with any A/S you might use.

I love the smell of the commando cocktail and the boar brush had no trouble at all getting an excellent lather whipped up. It provided excellent glide for the OCMM who did it again and provided a DFS. When I started my shave today, I said to myself, "self..........do not chase the baby this morning. Do your two passes and call it a day." And that's exactly what I did. I went with two passes and finished with a DFS. No weepers, No redness. No nothing. It was a great shave.

I can't get over it! The rocket is a stunning razor. Each shave is soo great to perform. I could do it all day! - except that I've got to get to work! Besids, now I've got something to look out at: the nezt shave! Yeey!

Thursday's Shower and shave

A long hot shower.
Next up in my brush line-up was the Parker Badger, I chose a puck of TSD Sweet Iced Tea for soap.
The last day for the Fatboy/ Voshkod combo. It delivered a stellar shave still after three days of shave.
Three passes then a polar water splash, followed with Thayer's Witch Hazel, then the facefreezing Osage Rub.
The :wave:were in total agreement that this DFS was a 10.

First time for me with the Ladas, the Marrakesh, and Lucky Tiger

Ladas - Did a great job. I had a hard time even feeling the blade was in the razor. On the other hand, the shave wasn't as close as with the Lab, without some extra touchup. I bought 300 of these when RBM cleared them out. I think I'll end up liking them, but more testing is needed.

MW Marrakesh - I expected to love this scent, but I didn't. Right now I'm neutral on it. I may grow to enjoy it more, though. The performance was fantastic.

Lucky Tiger AS - Felt great on my skin, and had a nice citrus scent. My wife didn't really care much for it but the scent doesn't stay around long, so it doesn't bother her. I got this sample from Garry's Sample Shop. I may by a bottle some day.

Final result: A near BBS with just a little irritation from too much touchup.

This was another nice shave, smooth and cool. Three pass, DFS+. I wanted a cool shave for a long day. I have an early start because I'm working in the city today and tomorrow. They want me in early so they can have me stand around for awhile I assume.

The RR King Louis lather was so good tonight that I added a 4th pass instead of my usual 3. I used the additional pass to practice and experiment with different pass directions on my neck. Always looking to improve. This stuff is a bunch of fun.

I hope I can manage another good shave like this tomorrow morning because this Wilkinson Sword blade seems to have lost quite a bit of its sharpness. I had to put in a fair amount of effort, but I got the job done. The Ice Cool cream from Bangladesh and the Alt Innsbruck are a delightful combination!
