Tuesday Shower and Shave A long hot shower. The Omega "Midget" was the next brush to do the lathering. Today is MWF Tuesday, chose MWF for the soap. Razor and blade change this morning. Gillette Slim loaded with a Trig, dialed in to #8. Three passes that were comfortable. The :wave:were excited to rate this DFS a 9.
Tuesday 6th March Hot shower and facial scrub 3P Preshave cream Schick L3 Grip New Forest 2222 High Mountain Badger DR Harris Arlington Cream Lucky Tiger Aftershave/Toner 4711 Eau de Cologne Slept in this afternoon, after my night duty, so I couldn't do what I had planned. I had hoped to have a Trad Straight shave....but just did not have the time. I brought forward my shave with a Schick injector. DFS + . I am not sure of the origin of the blades....but they do a good job. The NF2222 is still breaking in,but is a fantastic brush, I thought I was moving more into boar....but this one will be difficult to beat. While it wasn't what I had planned....I had a great shave and subsequently a very enjoyable time at the Theatre.

+1..Same here when I use my boar. I have to go back to the puck sometimes between passes. Not that big of a deal, but the boar just doesn't have the density of my badger. EDIT: I see you're using Bluebeard's. Is that the soap or balm? I love their soap.
That Pat is some nice guy. Very generous. THe Personna Med. Prep. blade was the first blade i ever used when I started TWS and still today remains one of my top 4 blades. Congrats to both of you guys!
It's the Bluebeard's soap, which is rebranded MWF. A friend on another forum didn't like the lather he got from it & just gave it to me. I have a puck of MWF active already but I wanted to see if it could lather. It definitely needs some regular use to break in but I was able to get a good lather from it even if I needed to hit the puck more than usual.
When I first started TWS, my first cream was BB. Still the best smelling soap/cream I've ever used. Then I found out it slows down the growth of your beard and I PIF'd it. So, this is soap and not cream, right? I'd be interested in how you like it. I never had problems lathering BB cream.

Today I used a shavette type razor. These tools dont get much love round shaving forums . Most questions about them come from members looking to experiment with straights for the first time. I did a few years ago.....and it was a failure. However....having shaved with straights for a little while.....I find that I can get very good shaves with them. Today was a three pass DFS+
Wednesday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Shark day 5 Tet-a-tet SC Tet-a-tet AS Balsam Obsession For Men EDT I don't think that even a professional barber could have given me a better shave than this today because that's how BBS I am. The Tet-a-tet cream and the matching aftershave balsam feel so cool and soothing on my skin - I just LOVE them both!
