Vetivers

What products do you guys like?

I have Guerlain Vetiver EdT which I LOVE !
and QED Vetiver soap .......Grrrrrrrrrrrreat

 

Absoutely the best Vetiver fragrance on the market. I used it for years. The only one that was any better was Vetiver, by Caron, but it's been out of production for years.

 

I have 3 Vetvier scents....all different ...so I can wear according to my mood.

L'Occitane Vetyver
SCS Very V
LT Piver Vetvier

 

I enjoyed a small sample decant of the Guerlain Vetiver. Right now, I've got the L'Occitane Vetyver, and I like it too. The L'O seems a little more spicier overall than does the Guelain which seemed "sweeter" in scent (can vetiver do that?!?! ).

 

Just picked up a bottle of Floris Vetiver -- my first!

 

+1 on the Floris.

For shave creams, Salter and Arran make great vetivers.

 

I have Azzaro Vetiver which I like a lot.

 

I actually found some Caron Vetiver on eBay. Who'd a thunk it? Oh, the temptation.

 

i tried the vetiver (sp?, lol) from salter. I love the scent. my GF hates it, so it stays!

can anyone recommend a vetvyer that smells any "better" ? (though, like I said, I thought it was great, like a good "guys night out" scent)

 

Hermès - Terre d`Hermès
Fragonard - Vetiver
Lothantique - Vetiver

 

Aaaah... Terre d'Hermès - I've got the ASB with that fragrance and I love it- I've got to buy the EdT sometime

 

Terre d'Hermés is one of my favourites too. I have an old Fragonard Vetyver AS, Might be from the 70s, and a new small bottle of Fragonard Vetyver. The older scent is much deeper and I like it much more. Another favourite for me.
The Guerlain is too sweet for me.

Royall Lymes Vetiver is an awesome scent to my nose. It's sweeter (citrusier?) than Guerlain's, so your GF may like it more, with a bit more vanilla at Dry-down, and lasts for around 10 hours on me with a modest application. For more info see here.

It is a bargain at around $30 for 8oz is a really great price, and is a top-notch cologne IMO. Overall I give it a 8 of 10, and it is my 3rd favorite cologne at the moment.
