So for Christmas, my wife sent me this Yoda alarm clock. It was made in Lego fashion, so the hands are basically 'C' shaped as you can see. It didn't take me long to realize that his hands would hold a razor almost perfectly. So I had to try it out. What I want you to do, is find sometting that works perfectly as a razor holder, but was not designed to be a holder or stand for anything (i.e. a pipe rack doesn't count). This contest will be judged subjectively by me based on humor, creativity, and ingenuity. Ideally the holder/stand should be something small & portable so it could actually fit on your counter, but I wont make that a hard rule. Winner gets the Gillette Old Type razor that Yoda is holding above. The handle is slightly crooked, but it doesn't affect the shave. Requirements: 1) Joined TSD prior to 1 Mar 2012. 2) Post a picture of your razor in an unintended razor holder with your TSD username visible in the picture. PIF Ends 31 Mar 2012
Lol.... I am not entering but will need to send in a pic of my he man dinosaur razor holder from the 2nd annual blade bank hunt. Now that I have a purpose for those clocks, I may just have to get one! Edit: Pic taken, here it is:
Yep, that holder came to mind as I was creating this PIF. I wondered if it might make an appearance. I have one of those. It is at my Mom's house with my He-Man figures, LOL.
Ok, not incredibly creative, but Cheerwine is awfully hard to find 'round these parts. Never had a Cheerwine before? Awesome old-timey cola and the empty bottle makes an ideal superspeed holder.
I need that dinosaur on my sink...NEED it, I say! Are you sure it's a He-man dinosaur and not some other brand? I've gotta find one! **Nevermind, I found it!**
I have a frog's mouth razor holder. It's made from a special wood from the Amazon, and it represents a type of frog that lives there. The scales on its back are not on the frog, hopefully, but if you slide the wooden stick on the scales it makes the frog's mating call. This frog, however, is a rather special frog, and being a gentlefrog (frog equivalent of a gentleman), will not go on his date without a proper shave, provided by the razor on his mouth...
Wrench organizers make great razor stands. I will enter a proper photo tomorrow, but wanted to pass along this idea.
I ran across this and we usually use them as pen holders, so as soon as I saw it I had a lightbulb moment. I think they used in flower arranging, however the holes are perfect for my razors except for my Fatboy
Sergio, you win my PIF. I love the idea of repurposing that frog to be a razor holder, and it looks awesome too. I actually have one of those frogs, I bought it in Africa. When I get home, I'll be using mine as a razor holder too!
Vivaaaa!!!! Great, thanks very very much. Mr. Frog says he's glad he could help, and is anxious to try the new razor as well as me. I am actually quite a fan of the old type razors, so I am sure I'll enjoy it.
