Yep the British FT Rocket. American SSs were mass produced, built to cost and planed obsolence. Rockets were a little different. Craftsmenship, quality in design and materials. I really like mine. It's about number 3 of all my razors.

By the look of it Rosie the Labrador could tell that the edge of Kukri was past its best on needed re-honing. That said the shave was very acceptable and I guess its the kind of edge past generations would have used much of the time as they eked the time between sending them out to be honed.

    Obsession For Men EDT

Back to my Super Speed loaded with a new Shark because I had to take a faster shave this morning. The results were great - very smooth with no worries about nicks or cuts. The Mystic cream from Bulgaria has a fairly pleasant scent and awesome lather, with wonderful skincare. Although menthol is listed as an ingredient, I couldn't feel even the slightest trace of it. The Max Refreshing aftershave is however, very cooling. ;) :D

    3P preshave cream
    C.J.B.razor (Japanese Style)
    Vie Long Horse Brush
    Vitos Green Shaving Soap
    Alum Block

My post night duty shave. The CJB razor really is impressive. Two pass with a little touchup BBS. Chrissie and I are staying in a nice hotel in Cardiff Bay for the weekend, so for the next few days I will be using the same (yet to be decided) setup. Any one have any suggestions on how to transport a Japanese style razor with a blade in place?

    Thursday's Shower and Shave
    03/22/2012
Hot shower with a bar Amber bath works.
I tried Sul Filo Del Rasoio Glycerin Bar to prep my face. It did its job in making the soap slicker.
Today was the newest member , Semogue 1460 inaugural lathering. The brush had very little piggie smell. It did an impressive job lathering an unbranded soap.
Today was day three for the Conard Open Comb, Gillette Spoiler. The Spoiler after three shaves, the shaves were still stellar.
Three passes and few touch ups, cold water splash, Thayer's Witch Hazel, and afterwards Kapo.
The panel of  were excited about the new Semogue Brush, rated this DFS a solid 9

Fishcrow you will enjoy the Semogue 1460. It's knot is excellent at providing a very soft feel on the cheek and it generates volumous lather with both soaps and creams. I use mine as a travel brush and it fits nicely inside a used Centrum Vitamin bottle. Just drill about 5 holes in the lid and bottom for ventilation. The only glitch is the paint will chip after time due to the moisture when soaking prior to use. Still it is a great little brush.

Todays Shave.......Interesting. Quite a few weepers from the Shark SC. Was not at all as I remember it the last time I used it. I was careful to not use too much pressure, and my lather and angle were more than good. Ended up with a few weepers, and lots of irritation. I decided to go with some balm after I finished with the WH, and it seemed to help a bit, but I thought, I've gotten good soothing from Clubman before, I'll splash some of that on. BAD IDEA :pFace instantly turned a bright, patchy red. Maybe it was a reaction between ingredients in all the stuff I slathered on there. So, in the end, I put a small amount of Proraso ASB on, and now my face feels fine, and there is no redness whatsoever.

All in all, its nice and smooth, but getting there was a bit of a ride, and its still a bit irritated. I'll survive though. Have a good one!
