Thursday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Shark Kool Frosty SC Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Max Refreshing AS Obsession For Men EDT Today my shaving journey took me to far-away Bangladesh, where the Kool Frosty cream, like many others are used in barber saloons. This cream has a funny, but nice scent, ten tons of rich lather, and about 2 tons of menthol. On the way back from Bangladesh, I stopped off in Bulgaria for a couple of splashes of this nice Max Refreshing aftershave which gives awesome skincare, and about 4 tons of menthol!
Thursday: Barbasol Prep Shumate #018 Omega Pro Sketched Cella Alum Block Aqua Velva Afta Original Jovan Musk After Shave/Cologne A slight case of irritation around the adam's apple after this mornings shave. I'm going to have to relearn some techniques for using different razors if I'm going to rotate. Still very minor and dissapeared in about 15 minutes.

March 28th - Late night shave Prep: Nivea Face Wash Razor: Merkur 38M Brush: Turkish No. 6 Horse Hair Brush Blade: Voskhod Teflon (3) Soap: Sara-S homemade Vetyver shaving soap Post: Witch Hazel AS: The Body Shop's Maca Root Razor Relief As I got in to lathering, I realized I should not be trying two new things for the first time together. I had been eager to try both my new No. 6 horsehair, as well as the soap Sara-s made and generously PIF'd, so last night I tried them both. In the end I did get an excellent shave, but the lather seemed curdy, if that makes sense. I think it was because I wasn't used to the brush. Tonight I'm trying a Sputnik blade for the first time, and I only have 2 of them, so I'm going to go with what I know, which is a Vulfix Super Badger and Mystic Water. I do look forward to getting back to the vetyver soap again though. The scent on the puck is pretty bold, but mellows nicely in the lather.
Thursday Morning: Pre: Hot Shower, Tabac SC + Glycerin Razor: Merkur 23c Blade: Shark SC (2) Cream: European Palmolive Brush: Omega 10005 Post: Thayers WH Lemon, Cold Rinse, Clubman + Talc Overall a decent shave, not the closest on the neck with this blade, and I ended up with some red bumps. I'm not sure if its the blade itself, or what, but I remember getting decently good shaves before from the SCs, and this one is different. It's my last blade, so I'm not sure if I will get more or not. I suppose what I am looking for in a blade has now changed again, as I am trying out the everyday shave, as opposed to every other as has been up until now. Have a good one folks!
Let me know how it goes for you sir! I suppose I will be looking for a bit smoother blade at this point, as the Supermax SP and Shark SC I've been using seem a bit rough, and not sharp enough for proper buffing/touchup, so it seems not as comfortable, nor as close for some reason.

Thursday 29th March Hot Shower and facial scrub 3P Pre/post cream CJB Japanese style Razor Vie Long 14075 Badger/Horse Brush Vitos Green Soap Alum Block followed by Simple Moisturiser Floid Original AS 4711 EDT A late shave today as I am on nights. A 2 pass DFS+. My first use of this Vie Long and an excellent performance out of the box.
Curdy - good word, now that you mention it. I used to get that with Ogallala soap, only the word I used was "lumpy". I solved the problem by adding a few drops of water into the lather bowl as I whipped it up. Go slow and easy adding the water, though. I don't have to tell you what happens if you get too much.
Thrusday's Shower and Shave A nice long hot shower. Facial prep Proraso Glycerin, the more I use this product the more I like it. It makes the face slick and well lubed. Next up in my brush line-up the baby Omega, I face lathered Bond shave cream. The Gillette Rocket, had a blade swap today. Blade was a vintage Super Chrome, it was an improvement from the Eddison blade. I did three passes, each pas was stellar. Normal post shave routine used Proraso After Shave Balm to finish a great shave. The :wave:were ecstatic about how great this DFS was, were in total agreement to give it a 10.
Thursday - another day closer Prep: Hot shower, soak brush CD: Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughn ~ In Session Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Kenya Safari Ridge, BLACK Soap: TSD Winter Pagoda + 3 drops M Bomb Brush: Mohawk 3-338 Razor: '73 Black Handle SS Blade: Astra SP, day 4, 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse, Thayer's Rose Petal WH with Aloe Vera Another fantastic shave.
I think the next time I use that soap, I will bowl lather. I normally do that with a new soap so I can better learn how to use it, but in the excitement of using a new brush and new soap for the first time, I forgot.
Thursday Prep: hot water splash, hot washing cloth Music: Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells II Brush: DVH boar Cream: TSD wheat cream, oak leaves & acorns Razor: Gillette Flare Tip Rocket Blade: Personna Blue (6th? shave) Shave: 4-pass Needed an extra pass to attain a DFS, the blade must have had enough.
