Holy smokes! Between soaps and creams, you could start the year using a different one each day and not use one twice until August!
Soaps: Provence Sante (the winner) MWF Classic Shave TGN (custom) VDH TOBS Arko Creams: Proraso Omega Cade Point TOBS (X2)
Don't get me wrong, I have had more in the past. I used up my stock and just haven't replaced them. I still probably have enough soap for a number of years. It's the only way to find what you like...
I agree Grande that the PS is a really nice soap. I definitely should use it more often. The French soaps really seem to have their act together. Both Institut Karite and MdC are on my short list.
I'll play, I might be missing a couple. I thought I had a lot (couple years' supply), but compared to you guys I am a minimalist! Used up all my TSD samples, plan to restock. Hard: 7 (MWF, MdC, QED Wildrose, C&E Sandalwood, DVH, Mama Bear's Woodland Pearl, DR Harris Marlborough) Soft: 2 (Proraso Green, Monsavon) Sticks: 2 (Williams, Arko) There are SO MANY I want to try, but I don't want to buy a container just for a few shaves. Out of my 11 soaps, I will probably have less than 10 soon! I really want to taper it down to about half of what it is, as the only soaps I really use are MdC, MWF, and Proraso.
i voted 0-5, but apparently I have a couple more .. VDH Unscented VDH Deluxe VDH Glycerin Williams Mug GFT Coconut Copperhat Unscented Proraso Green please adjust your results accordingly
I only have three (had four): Green Proraso (love it), Taylor of Old Bond Street - Sandalwood (my favorite), Art of Shaving - Sandalwood (like it, but not as much as TOBS and it's more expensive), and some Col. Conk which I threw out after half a pass of shaving (got it free with my shaving bowl). I plan to buy some Sandalwood Proraso when it comes out along with some other varieties of TOBS. I'm done with Art of Shaving after this container of cream is done - nowhere near worth the premium price (although it smells great!).
I'm too lazy to count them but what I know of without getting off the couch: Palmolive stick Speick stick MWF Tabac VDH deluxe VDH select VDH new glycering Vintage Williams Vintage Canadian Williams Arko stick TSD ISZ TSD Monkey Farts TSD 2011 Q1-4 SOTQ Can't think of anymore off the top of my head but that has to be close. *edit* Just for the sake of accuracy, I need to change my vote to >16....I was off by a few when I went 6-10.
Here is my collection of soaps, I can't call it a rotation as I use MWF 90% of the time and speick and GFT rose the other 10%. - MWF x 8 pucks + 1 stick - Speick x 3.5 sticks - GFT Rose - Euro palmolive x 2 sticks - Vintage Australian palmolive stick - CADE - Valobra stick turned into a puck - Arko - C&E Sweet almond
I am not a fan of it at all. It requires a lot of product to get a lather going and it leaves my face very oily after the shave. The performance is good but overall, I would avoid it, especially for the price. I would recommend Speick over Valobra any day!!!
Not that many, I'm afraid: Valobra Menthol shave soap Calani Simply Soap (puck as well as soap stick) Calani Purissima (puck as well as soap stick) Calani Cadre Noir (puck as well as soap stick) Calani Dubai (puck as well as soap stick) Calani Lavender (puck only) Calani Oriental plum (soap stick only)
I am a cream fan myself but I always have a supply of Proraso, MWF, Tabac and Mamabear Cannabis onhand.
