A hot shower and nice shave were waiting for me at home.

Background noise: Dog and cat were play fighting

Soap: VHD extra fris with 3 drops of M-Bomb
Post: Cold water
AS: Stetson

The background noise turned into MMA instead of WWE midway through the shave. So I had to scoot the Boxer pup out of the room. One pass for a DFS, really felt the M-Bomb with three healthy drops.

 

This is pretty close to my fantasy shave and one that I like to save for special occasions or when my spirits need a pick-me-up. Very nice.

 

Why is it that the dog always gets the scoot? Such a good boy.

 

Because Short Strokes did not want to give the pup a shave. That would truly move the action to MMA status! Poor dog!

All of a sudden I found that many products in my rotation are close to the end. The Red Line SC, the Phyto Expert SC, the Eveline shave gel (I use it for preshave, it softens the stubble for the straight shave and has menthol in it). I decided to finish up that stuff and refresh my rotation.

I haven't posted a SOTD in awhile (I get too busy then stop doing it). But I just HAD to today. In the box of Easter goodies my parents sent to my kids, my Mom sent one of my Grandpa's straight razors! It was still very sharp even though it hadn't been used in well more than 40 years (he died when I was 2 in 1972 and hadn't used a straight since his health started to decline in the 50's--when he got the 54 SuperSpeed I started DE shaving with) and after a little touch up on the barber's hone gave me a fine shave this morning!
