1. Hi Guys
Lately I've been winning a fair number of auctions and for whatever reason I find I really like the Bakelite sets from Gillette. They're kinda cool and I've got a couple more on the way.

From left to right they are: 1945 New #77 with Tech handle...no blade cases, great shaver. Next is a 1934 #77 New 2 piece, another great shaver. On the right is a 1945-46 Fat Handled Tech. Nice mild shave works well with a Feather blade.

In front is the 1946 New in the compact case, very nice shape and excellent shaves.

1934 #77 razor is going in for a re-plate and I have the new guy picked out to do the work. Fingers crossed. The others are in really good kip so I'm leaving them alone.

    Cheers

  5. Excellent razors you have there!
  6. Those look like prime specimens!
  7. Very nice collection! These cases are not only nice to look at but they are extremely durable as well. Please let us know how the re-plate goes.
  8. excellent collection, Huck!
  9. Outstanding!
  10. Oh man, you are seriously making me drool here. Lucky, lucky man!
  11. The numbers are really adding up on your collection now Huck;)
  12. Very nice! Who are you going with for the replate? Will you post pictures? Please?
  13. Excellent pieces. I've a NOS #77 and they are very nice sets. They never imagined when "bakelite" was invented what we'd do with plastics 80 years later.
  14. I have bakelite Neillite 400 and Wardonia razors. I didn't know buying the Wardonia that it uses special blades. UGH!! Your stuff is cool though. The marbled bakelite looks like the new Merkur or the Wardonia.

  15. Now that Neillite is a very good razor. It is deceptively aggressive. Someone unfamiliar to it will laugh, until they shave with it.
  16. Wow! Nice!!!!
