    Morning my lovely shaving friends!

I have the lovey predicament of having an amazon gift card to spend so I plan on picking up some shaving software.

I'd like to pick up some rose shaving cream and I'm looking at AOS vs Cyril Salter. I'm not considering the TOBS mostly because I have the lavender and have been a bit underwhelmed, and I have already tried a sample of Truefit and Hill and want to branch out.

Any thoughts on these two that would lead you to recommend one over the other?

    Thanks!

OOooo tuff call I haven't used AOS Rose, I have smelled it, and I have used their Sandalwood and their Lavender...
Their performance is top notch, but their scents are right at the edge for me, I can just tolerate it on my face, that of course is a personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt...

The Cryil Salter has a more mild scent, and more mild on the face given what I have tried, again I have not shaved the AOS Rose.. The Salter lather is also top notch...

    I hope that helps...

I think I am leading toward the Cyril Salter also because it is about ten bucks cheaper. Maybe the AOS cream is ten dollars better, but that ten dollars lets me get another shaving stick, or a tube of musgo real or something fun like that!

I like your thinkin'! :D :happy088 I'd probably do the same. I have yet to talk myself into the high price of AOS when I know I can get a great soap at TSD for a fraction of the cost.

And if it weren't for having an amazon gift card I'd probably be getting that TSD rose!

Well T&H and Trumpers do Rose the best, so if you weren't really pushed over by T&H I don't know what to tell you... Having said that, I would probably take Salter though, even though it was really weird in consistency.

I did like the T&H rose, don't get me wrong, it was what started this whole rose fascination, I just wanted to branch out and see what else was out there.

Where are you seeing the AOS Rose shaving cream? I looked on their site but am not seeing it there.
    Thanks,

I recd a sample of the Salter Rose a while back. You'd better like rose. It's on the strongly scented side IMHO.

I just tried the Cyril Salter Rose cream: excellent glide, great skin care, contains vitamin E and real rose essence. The scent is very natural and not too strong. Plus it's not as costly as some alternatives.
