Thanks, Steve. I do enjoy them, that's for sure. And mostly I do it my way. ;)

    My Thursday shave today:

    Calani Purissima shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Musgo Real pre-shave oil
    Feather AS-D1 razor
    Feather blade (3.)
    Speick Men after shave

I have spent a very enjoyable half hour with this set-up, good way to start the day.

My first post! I'm new to this and haven't spent much money on my setup.

    Derby razor w/ Wilkinson blade

    Van Der Hagen Boar Brush

I did 2 passes tonight. Not bad and I am not getting the irritation that I would get with other shaving methods.

Very very smooth shave, i'm thinking my two favourite razors are both 7/8, and it's size i really find comfortable in hand.

When you're looking at TSD with your morning coffee at 6:00 AM, and decide to put your shave stuff in front of the computer for a picture, well, I'm not sure what it means. At least I got a DFS. Not one of my usual injectors, but it works very well. IMG_3069.JPG

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Rapira day 2
    Füme Lavender SS :love029: :love029: :love029: :love029:
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
Arko Commando AS Gel :love029: :love029: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    Obsession for Men EDT

This Füme Lavender soap is so wonderful - it smells so nice, it has such rich and creamy lather, and it gives such a good soothing effect. The Arko Commando gel is very cooling and protective for sensitive skin. For those who don't know, the Füme soap is also from Turkey like the Arko stuff, but it's produced by a different company. ;) :D

    Llyr Stay frosty, my friends!

    Thursday:
Soak Brush/Savile Row 3824/Heat Up DB Original Scuttle
    Hot Shower
    Proraso PrePost cream
Palmolive Menthol shave cream (Italy) 3 drops of M-Bomb
    Face:Muhle R41 Grande/Astra SP (3)
Head: Schick Hydro-Magic/Chinese Schick blade (2)
    Cold Water Rinse
Monster Block Alum(clean hardware and software, police area)
    Cold Water Rinse
    Thayer's Medicated Superhazel
Captain's Choice mixed with a pea sized amount of 444

I did a nice 2 pass face shave with the r41 with great results, nice BBS shave no razor burn.I did a 1 pass ATG with the Schick and got a very nice headshave,BBS with no touchups needed. The r41 is the only razor in my arsenal that I dont headshave with, for some reason my dome just dont like the r41.But it likes,Joris,Fatip,Tradere,OCMM,Merkur 39c slanthammer and others.I'm retired so taking the extra time to use a second razor for my head is no problem.I'm just wondering why thunderdome doesn't like the r41 but likes the Joris and loves the 39c slanthammer and OCMM and Cobra Classic.

    Tuesday - Saturday

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: EJ DE89L
    Blade: Lort Platinum
Scuttle: Dirty Bird Travel used as a warmer
Soap/Cream: Mama Bear's Spellbound Woods Stick
Brush: Vie-Long 13120m Travel Natural Horse Hair
    AS: Nivea Replinishing Balm

    Results: DFS+
This was the first time using the Vie-Long 13120m Travel Natural Horse Hair. The handle is size wise on the order of a Wee Scott. The brush has more scritch than the other horse hair brushes I've used. I'll have to give it a dozen uses to see if it softens up.

Fantastic shave this morning. Using the Molinard Rasoline is still in the weird category but I certainly can't complain about the quality of the last couple of shaves.

Thursday Morning Shaving Ritual, May 24, 2012

Razor: 69 Slimline Gillette Adjustable (set on 7)
Blade: Personna Super Blue (3rd use)
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Cream: Proraso Menthol & Eucalyptus
A/S: Alum Bar & Cold Water Rinse
    A/S: Pinaud Clubman

I notched the razor up to 7 and got a 3-pass DFS, almost BBS, shave today. There was more razor burn than yesterday so I will load a new blade tomorrow.

Everyone have a great day. :bounce015:
