Lost a couple days as I was at the In-Laws and their internet wasn't working. To highlight the trip, here is the view of the arm on Crazy Horse if you manage to be the first one to make it up the mountain:
My coworker brought me a donair for lunch today. I told him I'd never had one before and he couldn't believe it. All I can say it of was love at first bite! I don't know why my family convinced me they were gross when I was a kid!
Jeff grew up in that area of Colorado ( kah-luh-RA-doe ) and has talked about Crazy Horse ... I hope to get to see it one of these years. I added the pronunciation because I say it wrong!
FYI, Crazy Horse is in South Dakota. That and depending on what part of the state you're in it's either kah-luh-RA-doe as you noted, or kah-luh-RAD-o; I prefer the former. Normally, non-Lakota people are not allowed on the Crazy Horse mountain. Only one weekend per year they have a Volksmarch event, where you can go if you do the 10k hike and donate to the local food drive. This year was my fourth time, but the first time I've run it.
Had two awesome things happen...... My daughter moved to Ohio a few weeks ago and just got hired at the most high end salon in her area...she starts tomorrow!! I have a friend....we will simply call her 'T".....I was the Operations Manager at the company she use to work for...we both got laid off within days of each other.....that was three months ago, and neither one of us have been blessed to find work yet.....she called me crying ad depressed yesterday...and today text me she was going to take her life......I convinced her to meet with me and simply talk.......after three hours, she agreed to some help and got her help.....it was terrible to see a friend go through this, but awesome to know that I may have been a part of saving her life ... I am blessed to be alive and try to make the best of every day and every opportunity.....
Praying for her! What a terrible thing to have to go through .. and I have been there with the job markets here in FL. I have been through two different corporations that had to lay-off their workers. It is not fun. Praying for you as well, every little bit helps!
My wife got a new job today in her field of major, and they are paying for her last semester of school. This is a huge blessing for us. As a young couple we have to survive on meager wages, and this is a shot of momentum that is most definitely needed. It will allow us to save money to get a house and expand our family. And I have an opportunity that may lead to a better job by next summer . Fingers crossed!
Ditto. My "awesome" isn't so big, but still pretty good. I got a shot for back pain today and A)the shot didn't hurt too much and B)I feel much better.
My Awesome news today ... I have an interview in Savannah on Thursday. The company is paying for the visit.
My awesome news... We got a new puppy Belle is her name because she is so beautiful. Is it not obvious that I have children who like Disney princesses? lol
