    Tuesday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Nacet day 3
Gillette Menthol SC :love029: :love029: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
444 AS Balsam/Osage Rub AS Splash :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Polo Original EDT

The Gillette Menthol cream from Europe has awesome lather and a very nice scent - a lot better than the Lebanese version, and does it ever have a strong cooling sensation. As always, the 444 balsam and the Osage Rub work their menthol magic, and the end of a shave is delightful. I'm a little disappointed, however in the Nacet blades. Compared to my Rapiras and other brands, they lack longevity. Otherwise, this shave was great. ;) :D

    Tuesday ... after a hot shower -

    TBS Pre-shave oil
    VDH Glycerin
    Vulfix 404
    Schick L1 w/ NOS Krona (3)
    Col. Conk Amber

Quick 2 pass'r this morning; XTG/ATG, DFS. I'm still amazed at how much closer my shaves are with the L1 than any of my DE's. I notice it after my first pass especially; when I rinse it's noticeably closer than any first pass with a DE. I think it may be because I can bear down with a little pressure with the L1. Definitely going to be my go to razor for time crunch shaves. I also face lathered with the 404 for the first time in a long time; great overall shave, even if it was only 5 minutes.

I finally reached the end of the Iridium Super blade. 11 shaves and all of them gave me a BBS to near BBS. Even this last one was great, but the tugging and post shave irritation were enough to retire it. Thanks goes out to Phil (awake2shave) for the PIF to allow me to try this blade!

    Llyr Stay frosty, my friends!

    Tuesday:
    Soak Brush/Semogue SOC Boar
    Hot Shower
    Proraso PrePost cream
Mama Bear's Iceburg Ice :love029: :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Joris 1912T/Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (1)
    Cold Water Rinse
    Ice Cube Rub
Monster Block Alum (clean hardware & software, police area)
    Cold Water Rinse
    Thayer's Medicated Superhazel
Veleiro Splash mixed with a pea sized amount of 444

My first shave with the Joris/Gillette Black was a winner.A very smooth and close 2 pass face,1 pass head shave. The Mama Bear's Iceburg Ice was a surprise,it lathers up nice and slick and has a nice (to my nose) marine scent. It's not as face freezing as Awakenings but it's pretty darn close.I was going to use The Rub with some 444 today but I could help thinking how close a scent Iceburg Ice was to Veleiro splash. So today it was Veleiro and 444,not as face numbing as The Rub but very soothing just the same.

    Pre-shave: Hot shower, hair conditioner
    Soap: TSD Yin Yang
Brush: Firehouse Pottery with a 22mm Silvertip
    Razor: OCMM
Blade: Ted Pella PTFE (1) Thank you very much, Arley!
Post-shave: warm water rinse, cold water rinse, witch hazel
    A/S: Pinaud Classic Vanilla
    Moisturizer: L'Oreal Men's Expert Vita Lift w/ SFP 15

WOO baby! What a shave! This was my first time using the Ted Pellas (thanks again, Arley for your generous PIF) and that coupled with the technique I recently saw from Mr. Guy on youtube about using the OCMM resulted in a fantastic 3-pass shave that ended up just shy of BBS. Have a great day everyone!

I'm a little late on this, I have been a busy boy.

    Monday June 11th

    Prep: Hot shower
    Razor: EJ89l
    Blade: Derby
    Brush: Omega 48
    Shave Cream: C.O. Bigelow
    After Shave: Nivea

The EJ89l is treating me pretty good. I really love the Omega brush. Some don't like the 48 because of how big it is. I actually enjoy it and I think it's breaking in nicely. It's definitely a big step up from the cheap VDH boar brush. Monday's shave was a nice one, I took my time and got a nice shave. I'm going to try the Astra blade next and see how that works.

DFS ++. I wasn't very charmed with this cold water shave, though. A bit rougher than warm water. Plus warm lather gives a so much more luxury feeling (to me, that is :) ). Guess I'll try some more of this. Twice the same setup, alternating warm & cold shave. See where we end up...
