Thank you sir, I appreciate the well wishes. I moved but just within the same town. However, my PO decided that it still needed to send all of my mail to a completely different city before coming back to the same PO for delivery. Starting to feel better now and starting to get some mail again so it seems all is on the up and up.

Pre: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Soap
Family Dollar Deep Cleansing Skin Cream
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush: Semogue 1460 Natural Boar Bristle
    Razor: Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock, Black
    Post: Alum
Thayers Alcohol-Free Unscented Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Toner
    A/S: Floid Vigoroso (sample)
I used a Gillette 7 O'Clock, Black for the first time and it worked well in the Aristocrat. Tried a three pass with a WTG and two XTG, one left to right and the other right to left. With a few touch-ups, I received a near BBS shave with no irritation. I'm finding out that almost any blade (the more expensive ones) work in all my razors. The Derby only works in my EJ DE89L. :angry017:

    Merkur 37C
    Gillette 7 o'clock yellow

    Nonno Michelino Soap & ASB

Little tugging and irritation, I think I pushed the blade to it's brink so I'll retire her gracefully tomorrow morning.

Geneva Cutlery Army & Navy 5/8ths round point
    Omega boar brush (faux ivory)
    Kappus aloe vera s/c
    M&L Florida Water a/s

The Army & Navy is one of a matched pair that I picked up recently at the St Lawrence Market here in Toronto. This is the second shave with this one and it was excellent - much smoother than the first. I'm hoping that it's mate does as well.

    Best Regards

    Shower & Shave

Took a longer hot shower this morning. Afterwards a facial wash and prep with Proraso Glycerin.
Semogue 1460 was on deck warming while I showered.
Soap choice Le Savon a Barbe "Bay & Sweet Orange"
Day three for the Gillette OC and the Spoiler. I really enjoy the Spoiler blade, shaved as good on day three as day one.
    Three passes today.

The  were exclaiming that the it was indeed a superior DFS. Everyone have an exceptionally great weekend. Happy Fathers Day to all the great Dads.

    Prep: Cold water rinse
Lather: RazoRock King Louis - ultra face lather
    Brush: Muhle Silvertip Fibre
    Razor: Sledgehammer Slant
    Blade: Rapira (5); 2 passes
    Post: Cold water rinse

Feeling better, especially when I saw the contents of my mailbox today, so I had to use them immediately of course. The Silvertip Fibre is certainly more dense than the Black Fibre, but it still feels great on my face. I'm glad I have each of them as they are different enough. I get more of a massage from the Silvertip while the Black is more luxuriously soft with no scrub. The King Louis lathered easily which I expected. It's been about 30 minutes post shave with no real aftershave and I have to say that my face feels very nice. I'll use this soap for the next few days and then I'll have to do a shave off pitting it against the LaFam soaps to see how the compare for me. What is certainly obvious is that these RazoRock soaps are quality top-tier stuff at normal everyday prices. Gotta love that!

    Thanks Johnny,

It is a 1950's Stanley Badger Hair. My father had one just like it, that my brother Ken (Bluesbishop) has. I was looking for one and Ken found this one on the bay as part of a package deal. I wanted just this brush , did not care about the others. I won the bid for $26 and changed, and PIF'd the other 5 brushes.

Although is is old, it never has hair loss, and it is the best brush that I have felt. I am constantly looking for a back-up for it on the bay and etsy, and so far, have never fan across another. I am very happy to have it.

I just got that AS stuff and it seems pretty good. Very slight cooling effect which is nice. I think I'm going to do is try to use one setup for around a whole week to really perfect one soap rather than switch around all the time. Plus it'll actually start to really put a dent in the den. Of course I just ordered my straight and an order from Ogallala so it might be hard to do :ashamed001:
