    2 fer Tuesday

Earlier than usual morning ritual of:
    Eucerin cream
    Warm shower
    Omega Pro boar
    T&H Ultimate Comfort SC
Merkur 23c w/ Gillette Super Thin (Thai)
    Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
    Nivea Sensitive lotion
    Master Bay Rum

BBS- by means of wtg, xtg, atg, light touch-up along jaw line.

Took my wife shopping to the mall after work ... somehow I :o ended up with all the purchases ... including a travel sized tube of AOS Lavender SC. My wife was very encouraging :rah: . I insisted it only be the travel size though. I've the remains of some AOS SS from few years ago which, though not currently in my rotation, I found to be fairly high quality stuff. The AOS SC is new to me. So ...........

    .....I couldn't help myself and had a 2 fer Tuesday  ...

    Same as usual except for:
    Simpson Milk Churn
    AOS Lavender SC
    +Dickinson's Witch Hazel

DFS- by means of wtg, xtg. No point in overdoing it. Lots of cold water to finish. Nicked a finger nail on the edge of the blade this morning, shaved on one side of the DE only ... blade prematurely done tonight. And I was enjoying this new blade!

Regarding the AOS Lavender SC ... I wonder who manufactures it for AOS. Reminds me of my T&H UC, but with (more) scent. Will need to use more to differentiate.

Aarghh ... what's become of this soap lover.

Credit goes to my beautiful wife:love055: for a nice shave to close the day.

I'm so happy that I once again have my ISZ soap and it gave me such great lather, as well as its famous frigid-cold menthol, and good skincare. The Shark blade in the Super Speed gave me such a smooth and silky BBS shave, and the 444/Alt Innsbruck combination is also freezing and nice. ;) :D

Even though it's uglier than original sin, this is a fine shaving razor. This morning was no exception, great shave. I like the blade design but the scales are a different story. Mike's is a top notch soap, excellent lather, very good skin care and had a nice close, smooth shave. Have a good day.

Prep: Tepid Water Shower, Brush soaking in hot water
    Razor: GEM G-Bar
Blade: CVS Carbon Single Edge Blade (3)
Brush: 1950's Stanley Flat Top Badger Hair Brush
    Soap: TSD Sandalwood
    Cream: TSD Wheat Cream Sandalwood
    AS: British Sterling
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Naturally Fresh Alum, Second Rinse, Double Splash of British Sterling.

Loaded the brush with about 10 swirls of the TSD soap, then a dap and swirl into the TSD wheat cream. Nice thick lather overfilled the bowl and the strong aroma of Sandalwood filled the bathroom.

Three passes, some light buffing at jawline and neck, done. Almost a BBS, which if I had more time this morning, I am sure I could have attained, but I need to post this and get to work.

    Pre-shave: Hot shower
    Soap: Arko
    Brush: The Colonel
    Razor: R41
    Blade: Gillette Blue (5)
Post-shave: warm water rinse, cold water rinse, witch hazel
    A/S: Boosters Lilac
    Moisturizer: L'Oreal Men's Expert Vita Lift w/ SFP 15

This morning I am in full blown sick mode. I had to come to work so I could place some orders, but I am leaving soon to go home. I woke up about 15 minutes late and I wasn't feeling well at all, so I decided to just do a quick one pass shave, because, frankly, that's about all I could muster. I didn't even really need to shave, but I thought it might make me feel better. I did a bit, but not nearly enough. Anyway, I lathered up the Arko, and did a 1-pass quick shave that left me with a DFS. I would even venture to say near BBS. I was amazed. That R41 is something of a freak of nature. Have a great day everyone!

    A/S: Speick After Shave

I went into my Blade Sampler to try a new blade--the Dorco Platinum ST-301. I was not impressed. Three passes gave me a barely DFS. The Speick Shave Stick and After Shave were quite good.

    Wednesday:

Today was a lazy day. I don't start work until 12:30 so I made sure I had a great relaxing shave today!

Turned on the Bose/iPod and jammed out to some MAYDAY "Take Me To Your Leader"

Pre: Long hot water splash, followed by TSD ISZ Pre, then washed my face with Noxzema Original
Soap/Cream Combo: I did 20 circles of Mama's Bears Vanilla Lavender, then dropped a decent size of Erasmic cream and whipped up a fantastic lather
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Razor: EJ 89 w/ a Feather Blade
Post: Warm water splash (I woke up this morning at 5:30 this morning in AZ with the temp being 90 degrees, so we don't have much cool/cold water this time of the year coming from the tap), RazoRock Alum, Thayers Original WH
    A/S: Floid Blue w/ 444

I also soaked my brush in a 1:9 ratio of white vinegar and water for 2 minutes and gave it a thorough rinse. I was surprised at how much soap came out of the brush. This is the first time in 7 months it is has been cleaned like this so I'm excited to see how the brush will perform the next time I shave.

It was nice to be able to take my time and not rush through everything this morning.

    Wednesday:
Soak Brush/Savile Row 3824/Ayar's Lather Bowl
    Hot Shower
    Proraso PrePost cream
Mystic Water Orange Vanilla shave soap
    iKon OSS/Iridium Super (2)
    Cold Water Rinse
Monster Block Alum (clean hardware and software, police area)
    Cold Water Rinse
    Thayer's Original WH
Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla mixed with a small amount of 444

I was rushed for time this morning so only did a 2 pass face ,1 pass headshave, still got close to BBS on my face.Normally I do a 3 pass shave with the iKon,but right now this is a late post I shaved at 8am is now almost 2pm and I'm still close to BBS.

    Brush: 22mm silvertip
Razor: Schick B2 Repeating Magazine Razor
    Blade: Schick Injector
    Post: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel

Not a bad shave today. First time using the Schick or any injector so I took it real easy and only did 2 passes not touch up. I did get a bit of irritation and a little tugging but I'm assuming that's technique. Overall I liked the shave but I'm not sure about the razor. Once I get more comfortable with it I'm sure I'll get some better shaves out of it.
