OK my friends - let's see some nice photos and hear some great reports on those shaves. I'll start off this theme! Menthol Monday: Turkish Horsehair Super Speed/Shark day 3 Nanny's Ice & a Slice SS 444 AS Balsam Osage Rub AS Polo Original EDT If you guys want to know about strong menthol, come and ask me, because I'm TSD's resident Cracky Wacky Ticky Tacky Menthol Freak, and I'm proud of it! The Ice & a Slice soap has such a lovely summertime scent, and the Turkish horsehair slams the rich lather into the skin beautifully, and then, WHAMMMMMMM - a frigid blast hits you. The 444 balsam has such awesome moisturizing, as well as great cooling, and I cannot stay away from the Osage Rub!

Wow! I've meticulously considered shaving details for ... what? ... the next morning. But a whole week!?! I'm impressed! :2thumbs:
I am usually also thinking only the night before when going to bed what the following day's shave will be. However, I decided to try something new and stick to a program for a week and see how it goes (with my discipline, that is ;-) )

Monday 9th of July : Prep: Shower + Ahava Facial Soap Brush : FS finest, 19mm, black handle Cream : Proraso Green (new formula) Razor : Fatip Grande Blade : Astra SP Post : Cold water, Alum block, cold water, Nivea ASB I kept the same blade and razor as yesterday. Proraso Green is excellent as said before in here, I have only a sample of green and one of red sandalwood, they produce both very good lather. Today I went only with one pass WTG and one XTG, got very decent result. Going ATG with the Fatip and Astra gives me a very smooth BBS but also I'm getting irritated so I'll skip ATG for a while. All in all, DFS for today.

SOTD Monday July 9, 2012 Prep: Tepid Water Shower, Brush soaking in hot water Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb mounted on an Ikon Bulldog Handle Blade: SuperMax Super Platinum Brush: Vie-Long Beehive LE Brush in Natural Horse Hair Soap: None Cream: LEA Sensitive Skin AS: British Sterling Post: Cold Water Rinse, Ice cube rub, Second Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave. Another day, another shave with the Short Comb NEW, today with a fresh blade, the SuperMax Super Platinum, which is my go to blade. Today I used of the LEA shave cream on it's own. Out of the tube, the product has a similar look to it as a Turkish cream. The feel was slick between my fingers, but the lather was somewhat lack luster after a few minutes of whipping it around. It felt silky and somewhat cooling on my face when applied, which is odd as I did not see menthol as one of the ingredients. The LEA produced a very good slickness, but lacked the cushion that you would find in other creams of the same price piont. With that said, it is still not a bad cream for the money. The combo of the SuperMax blade and short comb NEW head provided very good stubble reduction. Two face passes, three neck passes, some light buffing, and I have close to a BBS shave.
Monday morning, July 9, 2012 Schick E2 Injector Razor w/ Schick blade (4) Semogue 1305 boar bristle brush, TABAC shaving soap w/ hot water lather, finish with cold water rinse for a DFS!
Monday TSD unscented soap HIS synthetic brush Gillette fat-handled Tech Bluebird blade My favorite blade for the Tech razor has been Voskhod, but today I found a Bluebird blade in my blade drawer, which I haven't used for a while. In other razors I liked Bluebird blades OK, but in the Tech it just didn't work for me today. Felt kind of rough on the first pass, took more effort and care than expected. Result was an acceptable shave, but not pleasant. Not going to use this blade tomorrow....
SOTD Monday 7-9-2012 9/16 W.H. Morley Clover Brand, Full Hollow, Spike Point Proraso PSC Proraso SC Caswell Massey Ceramic Badger Dickinson's Witch Hazel Nivea ASB Mennen Original Skin Bracer Lately I am finding that I not only have a preference for wedge blades but, I also find the 9/16 - 5/8 size blades more maneuverable and better suited to my shaving needs. The bigger blades may look more impressive but it's really all about how effective and comfortable the blade is for an individuals specific shaving application. This little Morley is sweet! It's a great little shaver and a pleasure to use.
