July 11th Shower (Burt's Bee's Men's Care Soap) Appalachian Heritage Cedarwood/Eucalyptus Shaving Soap Parker 22R Razor. Tomorrow, I am going to switch it up and use Omega Shave Soap.
Ok, so it's almost Thursday ... in fact it will be Thursday when I finish this... I have been taking baths. Not my favorite thing because, well ... you are sitting in your .. stuff! The reason being ... I have re-caulked the shower to tile problem. Yay! All by myself ... now I just have to caulk the shower to door problem. I need additional hardware for that .... So, I have been using the other bath. Funny how the Master bath is only a shower and the guest bath is this really DEEP tub... so, I have been bathing in this deep tub for a few days now .... even though I don't prefer a bath. Somehow the hot water makes up for it. I'm hoping to shave soon ... I just need one small tube of silicone to make it happen!

Thursday: Turkish Horsehair Super Speed/Shark day 6 Mama Bear Awakenings SS 444 AS Balsam Osage Rub AS Azzaro Pour Homme EDT Smooth as silk, feeling cool and comfortable, and smelling great after such a terrific shave today. This Awakenings soap is very well-named because the menthol effect can really wake you up. The scent is hard for me to describe, but it's very nice. The 444/Osage Rub duo froze my face wonderfully!

Thursday's Shave Cool Shower Arko Shave Stick/Arko Ice Mint SC Omega 10029 1938 Gillette Senator OC TTO Perma-Sharp Super D1 Rebul Manderine Colonia/Rebul Lavanda Colonia It's been soooo HOT lately and today's shave was so refreshing....I couldn't stop....Did an arm-pit shave and chest, where its the thickest...Whew....so much cooler... Look like I'm ready for competition swimming...lol....actually not the whole chest, but where the chest hair has started growing up towards my neck... Someone needs to start a poll about favorite Summer Shaving Gear....Its definitly different than the rest the year...because of the affects of direct sun and profuse sweating...I know many like to pour on the menthol at this time...me too... I've also found my Senator OC TTO is great for giving really close smooth shaves with no effort and few passes...so the sweating doesn't burn later...Schick injector is close...very close...but the Senator would have to be the most sweat proof , burn free, BBS I know of...

After so much time shaving with the Open Combs this morning I seen my G-Bar looking at me and knew I had to use her. I have also missed my much loved TSD Wheat Cream. If you had ever had the chance to use the old forumula Proraso Red, this is very close. The only real difference is a silkier feel, and that you can have it made with a selection of scents. I just love this stuff. It is hands down my favorite cream/soft soap. After building a nice lather the fun begins. How I love the audio feedback all GEM's provide, you just hear the whiskers being cut from your face. Three full passes, some light buffing and I am ready to take on the day with a DFS that would pass to most people as a BBS.
I have over 40 guitars and maybe 20 amps,for musicians it's called GAS , Gear Acquisition Disorder,no cure.Now I have a severe case of RAD,no cure............

Thursday Hot water soak King of Shaves menthol shave gel OCMM with stainless/Gillette ProGlide Got part way through first pass and realized the blade was too dull to finish up. Since my blades are kept in the other bathroom I finished up with the wife's ProGlide. Ended up, as always when I use the ProGlide, with true BBS and no nicks anywhere. The stainless went to blade Valhalla (med cabinet slot). a/s - since I'm alone today I think I'll slap on the old Avon Oland.
Nope. All the gear I use, I use year round. As for menthol, yes, it cools, but how long does that effect really last? 10? 15? maybe 20 minutes? I shave right after my shower in the morning. Then it's up to get dressed. After that, I have breakfast. I brush my teeth and then it's off to work. Any cooling by the menthol is long gone since then. And all that time I'm obviously in the house, not outside in any sweltering summer heat or frigged winter cold. So why does menthol have to be a "summer only" for so many folks? Just wondering.
