Beautiful 2 pass face,1 pass head for BBS all around.The Swiss Pitralon is a very soothing aftershave,it starts off with a scent almost like a medicinal pear brandy,the medicinal scent fades very quick and you're left with a pear-like scent.The German version is to me, a more outdoorish scent.I like both versions but so far I'm giving the nod to Swiss Pitralon for it's healing and soothing qualities,and the German version for it's scent.You wont need to use a balm or milk after using Swiss Pitralon unless it's 444 or M-Bomb to add menthol.

Started out with a '60s Personna, finished with a Voshkod

My face had healed up enough from the other day to risk a shave but I wanted to start out mild just the same. The Personna is a very smooth blade but very mild (reminds me of a good Dorco). It wasn't quite cutting it so I rolled the dice and switched to the Voshkod. Much better match, three pass BBS but the V. did reopen a few old nicks. Probably should have chosen a '60s Gillette stainless, which is somewhere between the two. But the razor itself pleasantly surprised me.

Nice shave today. Went faster though I thought it could be a bit smoother..more time needed for lather working in. Great reduction on the neck. No issues and darn fine. Have a great day all..

Wow! I almost forgot what an outstanding shave the Gillette Slim delivers! It really is the height of Gillettes razor manufacturing art and would be the only razor a man would need. (Of course, that's for the common man....we who are addicted to RAD must have many other razors as well!)

After a great hot shower, I prepped my face. Whipped my lather into a luxury mound. Three passes today resulted in a totally exceptional shave. A great shave starts the day off so wonderfully.
