Wow, this summer is going by so fast. It's time to start a new week, so let me kick it off!

    Menthol Monday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Rapira day 5
Godrej Menthol Mist SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    444 AS Balsam :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Osage Rub AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Dolce & Gabbana EDT

One of the hottest summers we've had in years, but I've got the tools to keep myself cool and comfortable. The Godrej Menthol Mist cream not only delivers a nice scent and plenty of lather, it guarantees that you will freeze your face off. After your shave, some 444 and Osage Rub will almost numb you! ;) :D

    Simpons Berkley 46, face lather
GEM Micromatic SE, GEM SS blade

This has been my Friday, Sunday, and now Monday shave. Very nice and smooth, two pass DFS. The proraso with the visal is a nice chilly ending.

Great shave this morning. I'm learning a new appreciation for smaller brushes. This brush easily holds enough soap for 3 passes but just in case I made a 30mm out of the same handle material. Have a good one.

    Wade,Wingfield & Rowbotham
    6/8ths, 1/4 hollow, Irish point
    Omega Professional boar
    Omega s/c
    Pinaul Lime Sec a/s
Eau de Rochas e de c

This razor hasn't been out of the box for a while, so I figured it was about time. It was an early acquisition and initally it didn't work out well, so it spent nearly a year in a drawer. When I had gotten a little more experience and some better honing tools, I took it out again and it turned out to be a world beater.

    Best Regards

    Graham

Myrsol Formula K mixed with a pea sized amount of 444 :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Today's shave was one of the best I've had with The Hammer, thanks to Perma-Sharp Supers. Now I know why this is the blade Turkish barbers use.Very smooth, I'm talking Gillette Black and Iridium Super, smooth and sharp. No irritation,I did a 2 pass face and a 1 pass headshave that needed no touch-ups at all.I bought a 100 of these and I think another 100 or so is in the future I'm going to retire other blades in the slant and use only Perma-Sharps.

    Monday:

    TSD unscented soap
    HIS synthetic brush
    EJ DE89l
    Astra SP blade
    TSD unscented aftershave milk

Three passes, close, smooth shave. When I have tried Astra SP blades in the past, I had the impressi0n that they were too sharp and harsh. Maybe my prep has gotten better, or my technique, but this was good! I'll see how it goes for the next few tries.

    Astra Superior Platinum Blade
    Proraso PSC
    Musgo Real SC
    Omega Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel

    Pinaud Lilac Vegital ASL

The Gardette is very similar to the Gillette New Improved but is a very heavy and much more aggressive razor. It provides a super close and smooth shave somewhere between that of a FaTip and a Muhle (2011) R102. :happy088:

Did a combo SR DE today. Overall reduction was lacking with the SR and finished off with the DE. The sharpening of the SR needs working out. I find there must be more reduction on the first pass, if the shave is going to be easier and faster. Going to have a talk with the engineering officer...
