Not my best razor, but I'll keep it and use it on occasion. I'm just not crazy about the super-fat handle. Yeah, I know other handles will fit it, but then it's not a true Stahly, and for me, that takes some of the novelty out of it. But that's just me.

I did get darn near BBS, albeit a bit rough getting there.

Holy smokes what an awesome shave! One of my best ever. Even now, 11 hours later, I barely feel any whiskers. I had to skip the shave the night before and was looking forward to this one. For some reason, I seem to get better results when I shave every other day. I don't do that often, however.

With 2 days growth, I went with the stick. On one day's growth I have a hard time getting enough soap on my face prior to lathering. With 2 days...no problem. While the scent for La Toja is nothing special, the performance was fantastic. Very slick, plenty of cushion. I'll try it again tonight and if I can't get enough soap on my face, I'll rub the stick on my brush.

A sad moment as I used the last few drops of my Myrsol Agua Balsamica. A great AS for sure. I'm going to hold off buying more, however, until I use up more of what I already have. I didn't have enough for my entire face, so I followed that up with the Arber ASB from The Body Shop.

That Tabac thread had me pull it out this morning, almost forgot how well it lathers with out even paying attention to it. Perfect shave - except my Floid Blue is down about 20ml, I think I should track down the last few existing bottles cause I love it so much.

Shower and Shave
Lazy morning, sleep in a little later then usual. Nice hot shower.
Facial prep with a bar of Proraso glycerin
Brush choice Vulfix 28 boar.
Today's soap Bruma.
Fourth day for the Super and Yellow combo. The setting of 7 for the first two passes and 4 for the last pass provided for an exceptionally shaves.
After an exceptional cold splash, alum, Osage Rub and finished with Finish Line balm.

First shave with my new SS. Milder than my Merkur 38C. but WOW it was a DFS. I have backed away from ATG on my neck, but I did use the J-Stroke XTG and it worked quite well. The shorter handle was a little different. I think I am going to love this razor!

Report: A damn fine shave, no nicks, no irritation, no burn, about seventeen minutes long. My Eucris tube is almost finished, so I'm tossing up whether to try a soap (maybe MWF) or finish my big, almost full tube of Triumph & Disaster cream...

 

Good morning Brad. To be honest, I haven't used the RazoRock shave gel too many times yet. But is does seem good. It is a bit different than a product like Proraso or Prep. The consistency is like honey and there is no medicinal smell. If you rub it on your whiskers vigorously, it will start to foam up just a tiny bit. It is marketed as a "brushless shave gel" and I would say that is pretty accurate. I think it would be possible to shave with the gel alone. Of course, I would never do such thing... last month I accidentally bought a lot shaving products. It is quite moisturizing and does help increase the slickness of a soap or cream. I think it might be especially good for someone with dry skin or for those gents who live in a dry climate. Cheers
