Razor: 1965 Gillette Slim Adjustable set to 9
Blade: Blind Blade Test Blade #6, Shave #2
Brush: VIe-Long LE Beehive Natural Horse Hair
    Soap: Tabac
    AS: Canoe
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Rub, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave.

This is day fifteen of the blind blade test, which is the second shave with blade number six.

Per the guidelines of the test I will not be posting my results of the blade, as we do not want other participants to be influenced by our own shaving experience.

At the end of the test I will be posting my complete daily journal.

All variables remain the same accept for the aftershave, which today is Canoe.

On a side note, I really need new glasses as I just noticed how dusty the lid of the Tabac looks and how I had grabbed the Canoe EDT instead of the AS.

Well, the Saturday shave ate up the last drops of Gada Cool Mint cream. My luck, I have a spare! Anyway, the shave was nice and COOL!

    Merkur 23C/Feather
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Painted ceramic bowl
    Gada Cool Mint SC
    Mayor Energy Platinum AS splash

Cold water shaving is an interesting trick, especially with mentholated stuff! Highly recommend! The colder the water and stronger the menthol, the better the effect! I could not feel the lower part of my face to the end of the shave. But 70% of alcohol in the splash brought the thing back. Didi I mentioned the splash is mentholated too?

Today was Jasmine day, just got my shipment of TSD Jasmine soaps and splash yesterday afternoon and wow it was worth the wait.I like mixing a lil wheat cream with the lanolin shave soap, the resulting lather never disappoints and the Jasmine is no exception.Normally I wouldn't add M-Bomb on my first lather but today is starting out real humid and muggy so I broke out the M-Bomb and added 3 drops.Very refreshing, great scent and protection. The Cobra just glided over those whiskers.Once again I didn't really need to add a aftershave balm,JoAnna's splashes really dont need it but I did add some 444 for a lil menthol hit.BBS shave and even SWMBO approves the scent :D

I received an unexpected care package from Gary yesterday including a H.I.S. synthetic brush which I used this morning. Now, I must admit, I'm a stick in the mud traditionalist and never in a million years would I have bought a synthetic brush. I like large brushes and this one is, a 28mm knot and a loft right around 65mm. It loaded the Haslinger soap easily and face lathered like a dream. Wow, what a great brush! Soft and comfortable with plenty of backbone for face lathering. Thanks, Gary. Very nice shave this morning.

Here's the Boker King Cutter I used this morning, along with the faux ivory Omega boar and my favourite Japanese bowl. Some Omega s/c, some Bay Rum a/s, and 4711 cologne rounded off a nice shave.

It isn't a great picture, but with any luck I'll get better at that as I go on.

Here;s a slightly better picture of the King Cutter

    Best Regards

    Graham

There are so many creams which are made in Russia, and my man Dmitry knows which ones I should try - he sent me this fantastic cream which has lather and skincare which are almost magical. In Russian, Znakhar means sorcerer. My skin feels so good and safe from dryness and irritation, and the lather is a pleasure to work with. The scent is very classy and traditional. I received a 100% BBS and beautiful shave! ;) :D
