I have no idea why that title was in my autofill. Hi, new to the boards, been wetshaving for a while, mostly DEs, clean up the edges with a straight. You can normally find me over on Reddit. I'm full of BS so feel free to call me on it. I've got some wicked fragrance allergies, so if anyone has suggestions for mild-scented products I'm all ears. I'll share what works for me in future posts. Cheers! -z
Um, welcome to the Den! The TSD branded store products are made in house by JoAnna, and you can get all of them in unsented versions. That being said, she is also willing to work with people on the fragrance levels in her products. I know at least one person on these forums routinely orders JoAnna's products with half strength scents.
Welcome to TSD! On the scent issue, many artisan product makers have unscented versions. That includes from TSD store.
Welcome to TSD! I have problems with my face that seem to come from fragrances, too. I have tried several artisan soap makers that offer unscented soaps and creams. Much better for my face! TSD is my favorite soap, but I have had good results with Honeybee soaps and Queen Charlotte soaps, too. Commercial products that are available unscented include Art of Shaving soap and cream (good, but over priced), and Van Der Hagen (haven't tried it). For my shave today, I am using TSD unscented wheat cream (outstanding shaving qualities), and finishing off with TSD unscented aftershave milk. Good luck!
Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
I'm sensitive to scents as well. If you check out my den (link below) you'll see what I've settled in on. Some have been through trial and error as there are some products listed that have some scent. The only thing I don't really use on my list is the L'Occitane Cade soap ... the scent lingers to long for me. There are things I stay away from that I've tried and discarded ... I'll need to go into it sometime. What have you found success with?
Thanks all! I have unscented soaps and creams, they're so...boring. It's the hunt for scented ones that keeps life interesting. How do I post one of those den lists? Burpsan - interesting on the Gold Dachs and Institut Karite. Been looking at those, I may just have to break down and try them.
