    Shower&Shave
Hot shower today grabbed the Dove for men bar. After showering I prepped my face with my usual Proraso glycerin.
Brush choice today Parker King Badger, I'm discovering that this monster brush is almost a tad unwielding
Grabbed RazoRock "Mughetto di Bologna", one of the many great soaps from RazoRock.
The King Parker did a monstrous job in lathering up mounds of lather.
Day four for the duo of Gillette SS and Ladas. A little drag this morning, still had a great two pass shave plus a few tweaks.
The finish up was the usual cold water splash, alum routine. Today's splash was Pinaud Tres Flores, just the right amount of after shave cooling

Does it have the same head as the R41?

Hey Brian, yes it is the same head as the R41 only with a white handle. The head is exactly the same. I was using the Derby Extra blade that it came with for a couple of shaves and this shave used the Feather which seemed to give a smoother shave but it's still very touchy about the angle and I can get as good a shave from the Merkur 33C I used today (for example) without all the drama and diligence that is required using this razor. Still not a fan of this razor.:signs002:

Is that the soap or the cream? Or, do they have a pre-shave product as well?

The soap. I bought a 1/4 oz sample from Rick's Sample Shop. About half the time I shave, I'll use one soap or cream as a pre-shave. I'll face lather and let it sit for 5 minutes or so before rinsing, perhaps using a shaving oil, then lathering up the second soap or cream.

This does two things for me. First, I get more experience with the soap I'm using. In this case I had trouble with the lather being to airy so I relegated it to prep duty. After 4 or 5 times lathering it again, I finally have it figured out. It still doesn't excite me though, and won't be restocked.

The other benefit of doing a pre-shave lather is it helps me winnow down my soaps & creams. I have way to many.

Post: Alum Block / Osage Rub :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

DFS had to do a minor 3rd pass buff with my injector but all in all a good shave.
I think I will have one of my new restores up and ready to go by next shave, but over the last few weeks this razor has done me well.

Tonight was my first time using the osage rub and I was not disappointed I did not know a splash could actually get this cold and the scent rather invigorating. I fallowed my splash with a brief scalp massage with the osage and descended into a blissful blizard of menthol.

After about an hour the osage had stopped working its magic so I re-applied the lucky tiger. This made my face a little angry. I washed it off and the irritation stopped. I am not sure if the irritation was cause by the the few weepers I picked up from my shave or a reaction from the cream. It worked great as a pre-cream will have to see over the next few days.

Thanks for that Bruce. I have always preferred shorter handles (except for the 38C ;)) I may investigate this further.

My Super Speed/Rapira combination is so good for me because I can shave fast if necessary and still get BBS without any problems. The Solo Menthol cream smells great, it lathers extremely rich, and it has awesome skincare. The menthol effect is very light, but the Commando gel and the Aqua Velva really magnify it. ;) :D
