Oh la, la - this month is flying by so fast - soon summer will be over..... I get so much pleasure at kicking off the new week, so this is how my shave will be for: Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Rapira Proraso Green SC (older formula) Diana Sport Menthol Balsam Barbon AS JHL Cologne I have been doing a lot of comparing between different soaps and creams lately, and I definitely find that the 2 Proraso Green versions have differences. In any case, they are both good, but I admit that I prefer the new formulation. Guys, unless you are able to tolerate heavy menthol, don't touch the Diana Sport balsam, because it's EXTREMELY powerful - even stronger than Osage Rub and Alcolado Glacial.

All and all, not bad for a near BBS.
Good morning Monday’s shave, have to be back to work again. Stubble felt very wiry and tough (most likely just my own perception but who am I to judge my stubble…): Logona Mann shave cream for a pre shave lather - left it to soak the stubborn stubble for about 5 full minutes. Followed up then by one of my favourite set-ups: Musgo Real pre shave oil Calani Dubai shave soap Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre Merkur Futur (first pass on a setting of 2.5 and second pass on a setting of 3) New Feather FH-10 blade Bloc Osma Alum D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave The Futur has established itself as one of my rotation’s favourites; I am SO keeping this one. Glorious shave, am looking half-way decent again after a week of paternity leave. All I need now is a haircut… Wishing all of you a great week ahead!

Didn't really need to shave today but couldn't resist trying to answer the age-old question: Can an unmodified Segal work with standard blades? Answer: Yep, assuming you don't mind gouging up the cap getting blades on (this one's was already pitting so no big deal) and if you eyeball it closely enough to square up the blade when you clamp down tight. Once you do that, you end up with a mild but effective shaver (mild due to the blade needing to be clamped so tight, I think). To get blades off, just raise the cap and snap one or both ends of the blade. I'm gonna try this again in a few days with a sharper blade; as it is, I'm very DFS with no nicks. So...yeah. Great smelling cream, too.
