Happy Monday! I hadn't shaved in exactly a week so this took me almost an hour :D

    Hot Shower + Brush soaking
RSC Shave Oil (for first pass only)
Proraso Pre-Shave Cream (for the rest of the passes)
    Proraso Green Soap
    Vulfix 404 Boar/Badger Mix
    Gillette '73 Black Handle SuperSpeed
Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (Yellow) (second shave)
Warm Water rinse + Towel pat each pass
    Cold Water rinse to finish
    Blue Floid AS
    Brush Teeth & Clean up
    Nivea Anti-IrritationASB

What a wonderful DFS+++. Not quite BBS, but about the closest I can get. 5 passes; 2 WTG, 2 XTG (each way) & 1 ATG. I did a few things a bit different this morning. I lathered the Proraso for a lot longer than I normally do, allowing the RSC oil to marinade on my face for a good 2.5 minutes or so. I also let the Proraso pre-shave marinade on my face for at least 30-45 seconds each pass and made a point of really focusing on technique each and every pass, going deliberately extra slow - FUN! Including doing my hair, I was in there for a little over an hour. Speaking of hair - Lucky Tiger Cru-Butch applied pre-shave, followed by a generous slathering of Layrite SuperHold Pomade post-shave - slick! What a great way to start the week!

Congrats to all of great athletes from the Olympics for a great job.

As always my morning starts with a hot shower. I follow this with a facial wash with Proraso glycerin.

Menthol Monday I chose Derby menthol shave cream :smiley freezing: gentle freeze and cooling.
The Semogue 1460 was the designated brush for today. No matter what is called to lather cream, soap, hard soap it does so admirably.
Monday's is normally razor and blade change, today's choice 40's Gillette Tech and Trig for the blade choice.
Three passes today. A exceptional shave was followed by cold water splash, alum of course a :Animatedfrozensmily: from Osage Rub.

I hope everyone has had a great Monday

    Merkur 34C w/ Astra SP
Ogallalla Bay Rum and Sandalwood Shave Stick lathered w/ Whippeddog 22mm Silvertip
Followed by some Alum and finally some matching Ogallalla AS to finish off a DFS.
I didn't really try to hard today and had to be really careful around a cut on my lip but turned into a really nice shave. I do think this Ogallalla likes me.

Rene, the older Proraso Green cream doesn't have quite as much skincare as the newer version, and the newer one seems to be slightly more cooling, at least to me. :)

Prep : Just a shower, cold water as the weather is really hot around here
Brush : Frank Shaving finest badger, 22mm
    Cream : Palmolive classic
Blade : Wiking Sword, israeli-made, second use
    Razor : Edwin Jagger DE89L
Post : Alum block, Halo Facial Toner(witch hazel and rosewater), GFT Sandalwood Skin Food, Tabac aftershave

Three passes, 2 WTG and one ATG, the lather was excellent and the blade performed very good, as ussual . My first use of witch hazel in the form of a locally-made face tonic, wasn't very impressed with it. Also, my first use of GFT Skin Food, sandalwood scented, it was better absorbed that the Nivea ASB. Finished with a splash of Tabac.
All in all I got an effortless BBS, very happy with it. One of my co-workers visited Russia and I placed a blade command with him, he bought me 25 Sputnik blades and 25 Gillette Rubie , for 8.75$ :) . I'll try a Sputnik tomorrow.

A wonderful Tuesday to all of you!

My Moment of Zen today consisted of:

    Musgo Real pre shave oil
    Calani Purissima shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
Merkur Futur (opened up to 3)
    Feather FH-10 blade (day 2)
    Bloc Osma Alum
    Musgo Real Classic after shave

I would rate the shave to be a FS. Had to rush the second pass a bit and I think I would have paid more attention to the jaw line had I taken more time. Anyhow, tomorrow’s another day with another shave…

    Tuesday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Rapira day 2
Viking Sensitive SC :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing: (Russian version)
Svoboda AS Balsam :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Osage Rub AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Givenchy Pour Homme EDT

My comparison period continues for another day or two with the Russian Viking Sensitive cream. I find it to be better than the original Bulgarian version although the latter is also very good. There's better lather, a nicer scent, and more skincare from the Russian cream, as well as more menthol. The Svoboda balsam is a top favorite of mine, not to mention the Osage Rub. ;) :D
