Greetings from Scotland. I am a DE razor user and so far my favourite is my 1908 King Gillette gold razor set which gives a very close & smooth, clean shave. Hope to enjoy the forum here.
Wot Cheor Denovan! Glad to have ya! I hope to visit that great northern land of yours some day, as it's where my mother's family is from (she's a Johnston). It's neat to hear that you prefer the Old Type, have you tried many DE's?
I have tried the Lord razor which is an chemist off-the-shelf type and although good it was too aggressive for me. I am looking to buy perhaps an Edwin Jagger DE87 and I really do like the Gillettes, so perhaps a Slim, fatboy or something like that. People keep talking about Merkurs but I just wonder about them!! But I must say, so far this beautiful gold 1908 Gillette is some razor.
Hello Denovan. I have only being recently welcomed myself, so hello from one new member to another. Has been over a decade since I have visited Scotland (whilst living in Ireland), but will be back there one day to show the family what a remarkable place it is.
Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
