Pat, I just received 3 more tubes from shaveabuck this week, and I used the stuff this morning. What a nice shave, and what a wonderful cream.
Saturday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Rapira day 6 Lea Menthol SC 444 AS Balsam Barbon AS As I was telling Arley and Pat, the Lea Menthol cream is awesome stuff - in fact I hate to say this, but I think it's getting closer and closer to pushing the Noxzema aside for being my favorite cream. The scent is beautiful, the lather is richer than rich, and the cooling effect is really potent. The 444 balsam and the Barbon aftershave worked their menthol magic beautifully as well. My barber is going to be very sad that he cannot shave me today when I go for a haircut!

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Saturday August 18, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face scrub with TSD Sandalwood soap, Tepid Water Shower Razor: Merkur Model 41, 1904 Open Comb Blade: Gillette India Wilkinson Sword (2) Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar Cream: Lea Sensitive Cream AS: Brut Attitude Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Rub, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave. After such an outstanding shave yesterday with the Gillette India produced Wilkinson Sword in the Tech, I wanted to test it with another mild razor, so into the 1904 OC it went. After a month of testing blades I feel pretty comfortable in knowing what I like, and what I do not. My top five blades in order have been the Polsilver SI, SuperMax Super Platinums, Gillette 7 O'Clock Blacks, Feathers, and Lord Platinum Plus. These India produced Wilkinson's are every good as the Gillette Blacks (made in the same factory), and I dare say, for my beard type, may very well over take the number one position. They are nothing like the German made Wilkinson Swords that you can find at Walmart, these are much smoother and sharper. I also wanted to use the Lea sensitive cream for a second day as it produced such a nice slick lather that out performs many products costing two to three times as much. Although this tube is 90% full, I need to place an order soon for some more, along with the Menthol version that gets much praise from Jeff (crackstar). I cannot say enough good things about the Semogue 1438 Boar. I prefer the Semogue boar brushes over any brush that I have owned or tried. All three passes where efffortless and smooth. Zero tugging or skipping, no nicks, cuts or weepers, no irritation. With a few light touch-ups to my probelms areas I have a true BBS. I use an alum rub for two reasons, to kill any bacteria on my skin, and to heal any irritation that I do not visibly see. Absolutely zero burn from the alum or aftershave. After some shave my face is on fire after both the Alum and AS, not today. This goes to show that a mild razor paired with a good blade can provide as close of a shave as a far more aggressive razor without the irritation or raw feeling afterwards. I just love this combo, and will be using it again very soon.
All right, that pushed me over the edge. A recommendation like that, coming from a guy with well over 100 creams, is quite an endorsement. Off to buy a tube....

Nick, That bowl of Tabac seems endless. Looks like you have the same amount of soap as you did a month ago. How long does tub last?
