I completely forgot to post this! Saturday Aristocrat #58 Crystal blade The Colonel TSD Lanolin - Signature Mandom I love this soap. The only thing that is taking some getting used to is the scent. It doesn't smell bad, I just use cooler scents and this is a warm one. Anyway an awsome 2 pass DFS!
How do you find the ergonomics of the Milk Churn handle? I have always loved the look of the brush but was convinced to get the Colonel instead

Sunday: Omega Wooden Handle Dovo Bismarck 5/8 Agressia Fresh SC Arko Aqua AS Gel Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Finally, finally, I had the time to have a nice, slow, and relaxing shave with my Dovo Bismarck and it felt so good. All it took were 2 passes, and I got ultra-mega BBS. The Agressia Fresh cream from Bulgaria, which my dear friend Dmitry (Asd) sent me lathers so rich and thick, it has a nice scent, and it has great skincare. Although menthol is listed in the ingredients, there really isn't any cooling sensation from it, but the Arko Aqua gel and the Aqua Velva took very good care of me that way!

6/8 Double Duck TFS Hard Soap, Tobacco Verde homemade 30mm Silver Tip Grade A AV Ice Sport Very nice shave this morning. I'm really liking this TFS Tobacco Verde Hard Soap. Love the scent and skin care, great lather. Personally, this is my favorite scent in a shaving soap that I've come across yet. So unless I burn out on it, it'll see a lot of daily use. 3rd shave with the new brush, it'll be a soap eating monster but is performing as well as I hoped. Have a good one. upload picture
Shave of the Day (SOTD) Sunday August 19, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash/scrub with Noxzema, as cold as I could stand it shower Razor: 1918 Gillette Old Type 102 Single Ring Open Comb Blade: Gillette India Wilkinson Sword (3) Brush: Semogue 820 Boar Cream: SuperMax Ultimate 3 Sensitive Skin AS: Brut Orginal Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Rub, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave. With two good shaves in a a fairly mild razor, I thought I would try the India made Gillette Wilkinson sword in a more aggressive razor. The 1918 Gillette 102 (thin head) Single Ring fits that bill, as it is one of the most aggressive razors in my rotation. This is only the second time that I have used the SuperMax Ultimate 3 Sensitive Skin cream. I was able to build a nice bowl lather with the Semogue 820 and applied it. The Semogue 820 is much different than the shorter loft Semogue 1438 that I own. Although not broken in yet, the bristles are very soft, and had enough backbone to exfoliate (although not as much as the 1438). I would say that this brush is very good for those who liked to "paint" lather on their face more so that work the lather into their beard. I like to do both, so the bursh is a good choice for me. The lather was very thick and rich, providing a good cushion for the blade. With the Old Type Single Ring I can usually feel the blade go against my skin, not today. After the first stoke I had to make sure that I loaded the blade in it, as it felt that smooth. Usually by shave number three I can feel signs of wear on the blade. That is not the case with these blade, it feels as smooth and sharp as the first shave. After two passes I had a damn fine shave but decided to push it further. I did a third pass on my neck along with some light buffing and j-hooks. As Beavis (as in Beavis and Butthead) would say: "Damn I'm smooth". The alum rub produced zero burn, while the aftershave only gave me a slight sensation of stinging. No weepers or irritation of any kind, just shaving bliss. Another great shave with the Gillette India Wilkinson Sword blades. These are far superior to the German and British made Wilkinsons, I would highly recommend them to anyone, as the rival the best of the best at only 13 cents per blade.
