I noticed a thread recently about Pal Blades. I recently purchased a box of 100 blades, hollow ground, they came boxed in lots of five blades, individually wrapped in wax paper and the another envelope of paper. They cost me the princely some of $5.00 New Zealand. I have been shaving with them this past week, not a perfect blade, but if I take my time I get a good shave.
Can't argue with the price, especially for vintage. You might try some water glass stropping* to improve the shave. *(run the blade back and forth over the inside curvature of a water glass or ceramic coffee cup, then flip the blade and repeat)
Since Rich has covered stropping (there is also denim and machine stropping) I can now say ... Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
