Lovin' the EJ's! The geometry of the EJ heads are absolutely perfect for my shaving needs. I always get a close smooth shave with them when paired with a quality blade. :happy088:

    Gillette ball end Tech 1953
    Astra SP blade
    TSD unscented after shave milk

Three passes, nice smooth result. Whenever I use the Tech, I find my self remembering that I like my EJ DE89 better. The Tech takes more effort to get similar results. Tomorrow will be EJ day!

We've been having some computer trouble at home, so I haven't been posting as regularily of late. I have had some really good shaves in the last few days, but sadly, today's wasn't one of them. This old K C hasn't been out of the stall in a while and the shave was a touch rough and not as close as I'd have liked. On a scale of 1 to 10 it rated a "meh" :(

Oh well, back to the hones!

    Have a great day, everyone.

You gotta love the versatility of the TSD M Bomb. I use it in the shower before the shave, in my lather bowl during the shave, and in my WH after the shave. Add as much or as little :smiley freezing: as you want

Shower: Burt's Bees Men's Care Soap
    Razor: Parker 22R
    Soap: Daisy Mountain Naturals Sedoda
    Blade: Astra
    2 passes for a DFS.

I did something rather fun. I used one of the samples I received from Daisy Mountain Naturals. I wanted to find the best way to press them in the bowl since I am PIF'ing samples. 1st I grated the soap. The rolled it into a ball since it is a realtively soft soap. I then press it in the bottom of a mug. My hands had soap film on them. I just put a little water on the brush and hand lathered. Got plenty of lather and nothing went to waste. Could have just washed my hands. But got s shave out of it instead! :)

I really like these Permasharp blades. With most DE blades I have to change after 3 shaves......this one is still sharp and smooth. BBS with 3 passes.

Stellar DFS shave. The third shave that noticeably smoother then before. A rule? Or 3 exceptions in a row?
Straights are something that always attracted me. I never thought I would shave with straights on regular basis, learning honing and stroping maybe. Now it seems to be a must for me. The learning curve, the QoS, all that dances and songs with honing- stropping- maintenance operation... More a ritual then even a DE shave. Just love it.

For me it's been a Menthol Summer because with the exception of perhaps 3 shaves, I've been using nothing but menthol stuff. The Mama Bear Lemon Ice soap is absolutely awesome - it smells really nice, it gives a ton of lather, and it's very, very cooling. The 444 balsam and the Barbon aftershave put plenty of additional icicles in my face afterwards! ;) :D
