Hi, this is Uncle Martin from Arkoland (some people call it Turkey). I am 45 years old academics and home made soap producer as a hobby. I make my own shaving soaps at home. (cacoa and lanoline, tallow lanoline hard soaps) I like all tabac products for its magnificant smell. But I also like cella and palmolive. I have started to shave with a DE (Mühle R89) since last month and I would say it is a real shave. Thank you very much for creating this lovely forum cheers Uncle Martin
...to The Shave Den family! Be sure to stop by The Shave Den "Master Sticky" thread to familiarize yourself with the rules and different areas of The Shave Den!
You make your own soap! I am impressed. Do you make it from raw ingredients, or blend Melt & Pour soaps? (I do Melt & Pour, because I am scared to work with lye, at home.)
Hello again! I read and responded to your other post about alum and Alzheimer's before seeing this one! Glad you're here.
hello dear yes I do real soap processing using lye. But it is extremly dangerous if you dont follow safety rules. Now I am developing my own formula for a good shaving soap and my intention is to sell it through a web site in the near future. regards Martin
Thank you for your warm welcoming Although i like citrus smell of Arko, we Turks have very limited shaving soaps alternatives in Turkish market (Derby, GZD, Tweex, Camelot and Fume) So I order other well known soaps like Cella, Palmolive, Wilkinson, Erasmic, Proroso, MWF and my favorite Tabac. regards Martin
Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
Welcome! I've been to Turkey once but only for a week as a tourist. I wish I had at least a month, beautiful country and loads to see.
