I'm very proud to be part of the TSD, family. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes during my illness. Each day my strength increases. The next hurdle is a stress test to rule out a blockage.

    23 August 2012 Thrusday

I enjoy taking a hot shower each morning, this morning was no expectation.
After the shower I prep my face with Proraso glycerin.
I chose the King Parker Badger to lather up Mama Bear's Hydrogen. The King, whipped mounds of luxury lather.
The Gillette "Rocket" was today's razor choice, with a Astra blade.
After a three passes I had within a few whiskers of a BBS, settle for one DFS.

Great shave, resulting in a DFS++. If I had to use this set every day, I sure wouldn't complain! :)

    Have a nice one!

Why, my friend? Imagine, that less then a century ago, men came home after a looong hard day of work on farms or factories. For sure, they shaved before going to the church or just 'go to town', and I believe they felt way more crappy then me after a workout. I strongly believe that mind controls body, that's why shaving with a straight when you tired is not a feat but just a chance to put on more attention and effort. It is very relaxing and luxurious feeling when you complete such shave and hand check shows DFSness!
Anyway, I'm still resting after that workout. It was a major PR for me that day. Total load I carried was just a bit under my bodyweight and distance total was 650 meters. The fingers are still in athletic tape to protect torn calluses from dirt. What a chance to repeat the yesterday's shave, but with another of my straights!

Another DFS with some spots missing. Tape on my fingers really obstruct the proper manipulation of razor. But it was such an enjoyable shave! Happy shaving!

Photoshop, wave filter. I like to fool around with my pics as the camera in my phone isn't, well, that great. I use Gimp as well for editing pics. It's way cheaper than Photoshop - because it is free!

    Soap/Cream: Lea Sensitive SC
    Post: Lea After Shave Balsam

WOW!!! I'm quickly falling in love with this old type. I think this may have been my best shave ever. It glided over my face like nothing, gave me zero irritation, and took nearly every possible whisker off. Crazy good shave!

I intended on using RR Zi Peppino tonight but this would have been 7 days in a row with the La Famiglia line and while I am enjoying them, I just don't think I can stick with them for much more than a week at a time. The Lea SC is fantastic but the scent isn't the greatest. I only have a 40gm tube so after a couple more days with it, it will be relegated to travel duty.

Another morning of freezing my face off during Menthol Week, this time with the new Proraso Green cream. I still cannot believe how fantastic it is. The lather is awesome, and it seems even cooler than the original formulation. The Gillette Series balsam and the Alcolado Glacial are both an icy pleasure after such a great shave! ;) :D
