Arley, I have the Mystic cream also, and I cannot feel even the slightest trace of a cooling effect. Isn't that strange?
Wednesday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Rapira day 3 Bozzano Sensitive SC Gillette Series Intense Cooling AS Balsam Barbon AS JHL Cologne An excellent shave today on a Brazilian note - the Bozzano Sensitive cream is very popular and very CHEAP in Brazil. It lathers crazy-rich and easily, it smells nice, (very eucalyptus notes) and it has a good cooling effect. The Gillette Series balsam and the Barbon aftershave provided plenty of additional menthol love for me at the end of the shave.

I'll see if my wife or daughter want to try it out.

After using the Lea Menthol for so long I am surprised that you can feel the cooling affect from any other menthol shaving cream I like the Mystic, but man, you are right, nothing freezes your nerve endings like the Lea Menthol.
August 29 2012 Gillette Flair Tip Rocket American Personna (1) Vie Long Cachurro Crabtree & Evelyn Scuttle VDH Deluxe s/s Proraso Dopobarba a/s Malizia Vetyver e de c A couple of new things this AM. This is the first time out for the flair tip Rocket, and I found it much like the older Rockets I've used - a bit heavier and more aggressive than a Superspeed, so no suprises there. What was a bit of a suprise was how well the Crabtree & Evelyn scuttle seemed to work - while I own a couple of scuttles, I've always found them awkward and perferred a mug in the basin. I seemed to click with it today though and made a really dense warm lather, that was much better than I could have produced in a mug. Have a great day, everybody Graham
Shave of the Day (SOTD) Wednesday August 29, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, cold shower Razor: Cadet Open Comb Head mounted to iKon Bulldog Handle Blade: SuperMax Sunrise Super Stainless (2) Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Cream: Domino Cream (from Macedonia) AS: British Sterling Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Rub, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave. When I first get a new razor, especially one that I like, I usually give it a run for at least three to seven day, sometimes longer. The iKon Bulldog is one of the heaviest shorter handles that I own, so I thought that I would pair it up to the Cadet Open Comb Head. For my beard the SuperMax Sunrise blade is one of the best, after a great shave with it yesterday I just kept it in the razor. This is my first use of the Domino Cream which is from Macedonia. There is a slight grapefruit scent to it, but nothing that is overbearing. The lather build up very quickly, it exploded in less that 30 seconds, but I continued to whip it up for a good two minutes or so. The cream felt thick and rich on my face. I have read others say that this cream felt dry, but I have no idea where they get that from, as for me, it provided a very good slickness and cushion. I did not shave last night so I had a substantial amount of stubble on my face, but the Cadet Open Comb loaded with the Sunrise blade cut through it like a hot knife through butter. After one pass my face was virtually BBS, by the second pass I could have stopped went to work and had a better shave than anyone, but why stop when things are going this good? The third pass was nothing more than j-hooks and buffing along jawline and neck which resulted in a shave so close and smooth, my skin looks like I have had laser removal. I finished with British Sterling, which always has been one of my favorite scents. It is good to be a man
