TSD preshave balm 8/8 W&B restored by Glen Vie-Long horsehair brush Ceramic bowl Wilkinson Sword soap in blue bowl Fitjar ASC Strange combo of shaving products. I tried 'random shave' method so that little monster set-up appears. Interesting idea, though. Somehow it works well and the shave was good and smooth.
Fatboy (for a change)...started on 5, ended up on 7. Voshkod on day 2 some cream I got from the travel box Adoration brush Marvy green rubber mug Avon BRAVO a/s Three pass BBS but the Fatboy hurts my widdle fingers (I've gotten used to smaller/lighter). BTW, BRAVO is distantly similar to Tabac a/s...the florals are lighter, sweeter and more pronounced (i.e., less refined) but I don't think they're particularly lavendery or lilacy...not sure WHAT they are to tell the truth.
The Everest is a best 'bang for the buck' cream in Russia. Great performer. I'd say it can be compared to Palmolive shave stick in terms of performance and usability.

Ohhhhh yes - it most certainly is. I am so foolish and I cannot believe the mistake I made. When I use a cream like Everest, Tet-a-tet, Phyto Expert, etc, I like to use the aftershave balsam which corresponds to the cream in the scent if I have it, and thanks to you I do. I grabbed the Visal gel instead because perhaps I was in a hurry, and although it works great and gives so much menthol cooling, it smells so different although it is nice. However, the Everest cream and balsam/edc which you sent me are so lovely together.

Friday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Rapira day 5 Lea Menthol SC Gillette Series Intense Cooling AS Balsam Barbon AS Polo Original EDT It took only two passes for me to get a great BBS shave thanks to my Super Speed/Rapira combination. I cannot believe how icy the Lea Menthol cream felt this morning - whatever I said about it being less cooling than Palmolive Menthol or Godrej Menthol Mist, I take back. The Gillette Series balsam smells really nice and cools and protects against dryness, and the Barbon aftershave can really freeze a man's face!
Crown & Sword TOBS Avocado SC Homemade 30mm brush Stephan Lilac This has all the earmarks of a "day from hell" but at least it started out with a good shave. The Taylor Avocado is a great SC, IMO. The scent can be a bit polarizing but I'm o.k. with it. Have a good one. I'll be busy. T.G.I.F. free picture hosting
Well today was the test of the Cadet OC Converter Head with the Parker 98R handle. The head is as aggressive as my Old Type and New Long Comb Gillette razors and slightly less aggressive than the Gillette New Improved or the Gillette New Short Comb. Excellent two pass shave. This is also slightly less aggressive than the Cadet TTO-15 I used for the three days prior to today. The razor had an almost true center balance due to the weight of the handle. It also behaved both balance and weight wise like the TTO-15 (no surprise there). If the quality of heads and plating can stay at this level then this will be a boon to OC lovers.
Gem OCMM Gem SS PTFE Oscar11 24mm TGN Finest CO Bigelow Superior 70 Trying to finish the tube of Bigelow SC, but I swear it keeps producing more and more. If I were to look at it, I would guess about a weeks worth of shaves left. It will probably hold on for the next two months...
What do think of the Fume shave soap? I had a jar for a while. I liked the performance and the scent but it burned me up every time I used it so I got rid of it.
It's Friday! 7.5 hours of work then off to San Diego! Finally a 3 day weekend I can enjoy. Shower / Mama Bears Lavender & Vanilla / Cheap Omega boar brush (my Semogue is packed and ready to travel. Side note, I put the brush in a used toilet paper tube to protect the bristles) / Gillette Aristocrat w/ Feather blade / WH / Speick a/s DFS! Didn't use any alum today. When I was packing my shave gear, the alum got a mind of its own and flew out of my hand and shattering to millions of piece on the tile floor in my bathroom.
Shave of the Day (SOTD) Friday August 31, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, cold shower Razor: Cadet TTO-15 Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Cream: Lea Menthol AS: Brut Original Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Rub, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave. It is going to be a hot one today (95°F/35°C) with high humidity, the heat index will make it feel like it is 104°F/40°C outside, ughh. I wish had more products to freeze my face today but I have no cold aftershaves so the Lea Menthol will have to do. First use of the Cadet TTO-15 today, having something new to shave with it always a fun part of this hobby. I had whipped up a really good lather and allowed my stubble to hydrate while I had a smoke and talked to my wife. The TTO-15 felt nice in my hand, I am starting to enjoy these heavy long handles. The head is larger than one's from Gillette so I wanted to make sure I had the correct angle before engaging in my first pass. It ended up being a little steeper than what I am use to, but it was very easy to find the perfect position to hold it. Three full passes, some light touch-ups, and I have a really smooth shave. After four shaves with the Cadet Open Comb, this felt mild in comparison (just goes to show that YMMV is so true, as Gary felt the TTO-15 is more aggressive), but this is no mild TTO. I would rate it as mildly aggressive, close to a Slim Adjustable on 7. After a month of using the Slim for the blind blade test I really got kind of sick using a TTO, but this has such a different feel. Yet another razor that I will be adding to my regular rotation, I thoroughly enjoyed this mornings shave.
