August 31 2012 Le Coultre 6/8ths,frameback,barber's point Vie Long Cachurro brush KMF unscented s/c Pinaud Clubman a/s Brut e de c I weeperized myself hideously this AM with the Le Coultre. It's so insanely sharp that any failure in angle or pressure results in little red spots, and today I really blew it! Considering that, Clubman maybe wasn't the wisest choice of after shave. Have a great day, everyone Graham

Yeah I've made the same mistake in the past myself. The best splashes for healing are the Pitralon's,either Swiss Pitralon or Pitralon Classic. Both are very good the Pitralon Classic can be found here in the states, the Swiss is hard to find.

Wostenholm Pipe Razor, Full Hollow, Round Point Proraso PSC Classic Shaving Rose SS Caswell Massey Art Deco Badger Dickinson's Witch Hazel Brut Original ASB Georgio of Beverly Hills, Cologne The Georgio is an old time favorite from the early '80's. I guess that qualifies as an old time cologne. Come to think of it....everything I own is old...err ahh Vintage.
The Cadet TTO head looks very much like the Parker TTO head. Do you think there is an "EJ/Muhle" sort of alliance going here? (Sabi/Parker)
I think that Joe at Shaveabuck had Parker make these as a custom line. I have not had this confirmed but look at this comparison between the Parker 98R Handle versus the Cadet TTO-15.
Is it possible there could be the creation of an new line of affordable, service quality razors being a blend of existing suppliers component parts? That's great news! I hope there is enough support now in the wet shaving world to support these new offerings in the utility razor price range. Not everyone can afford those $175.00 razors that are being taunted as "Modern razors". I really like the looks of the new Sabi's!
"Caswell Massey Art Deco Badger" Bruce, that is one classy looking badger CM shaving brush. Nice picture.
Thanks! It came with a three piece shaving set. The brush is excellent; perfect size knot, loft and density. It's tips are very soft and whip up some awesome lather.

I think that it is more along the lines of them both using the same OEM in India to produce their products. Parker Razors quality has gone up many notches from what I understand, the two models I had bought where very good in quality. When I look at the new Cadet three piece head it is almost identical to the Parker three piece, which is like a more aggressive version of the R89/DE89 head. Make me wonder if Parker will be selling an open comb soon.
Wooohoooo Friday go to town Shave!!! So I got to shave one of my own razors this morning, been a very busy week+ for me so I haven't seen much of my razors lately... Prep: Hot shower and Noxema left on the face Brush: Silvertip Restore Soap: SRD Bulgarian Otto Rose Strop: SRD Premium 1 25/50 Razor: Wacker Shave: 1 Multidirectional pass, clear water touch up A/S: Thayers Rose This razor was honed last at the Yakima meet up with Garrit's FASO waterstone as a finisher, my first shave with it a few months back was just a tiny bit off for my face, so last night I stropped it with some .10 CBN on a Roo hide strop 10 laps, and then re-stropped it on an Illinois #627 50/100... The shave today was much more to my liking Results: DFSS I'll let you guys figure that one out ps: @Mike/Macarnous - That pic is really really cool
I think you're right Arley! Parker will Probably use the conversion head offered by Sabi. That would be a no-brainer. If they put a nicely turned, hefty handle with that open tooth head and sold it for a very reasonable price, they wouldn't be able to produce them fast enough! :rah:
Arley, my wife thinks that the Lea Menthol cream stinks. Me, I think it smells gorgeous. I was shaving this morning when she came over to my bathroom ( we have 2 bathrooms) to tell me that we're invited out for supper with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and when I was lathering up for my 2nd pass she said, "Sweetie, that shaving cream stinks terrible. How can you use it?" I told her, "I love the scent and the lather, and the frigid menthol effect it gives me!" I think every time I use it, it gets closer and closer to becoming my favorite cream.
Had a very busy day again! (But a fun one since no work was involved, just the wife and I) So I am just now posting my SOS! Shower: Burt's Bees Men's Care Soap Razor: Parker 22R Soap: Mix of RazoRock/Omega Blade: Astra Nice DFS but swapping out blades tomorrow for a BBS for sure!
