6/8 T.I. MdC homemade brush/26mm Thater knot Brut Splash On Great shave, truly. The new brush performed excellent at 45mm. This is where the knot will stay. I'll just have to decide on a handle. I might go with a Chubby style. Have a good one. upload pictures
Shave of the Day (SOTD) Tuesday September 4, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, cold shower Razor: Gillette Tech mounted to Sabi T3 Handle Blade: Rapira Super Stainless (3) Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Cream: Lea Mentholated AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Bay Rum Post: Cold Water Rinse, Splash Of Aftershave. Although I love aggressive open combs, I equally love the Tech. I find it be an effective mild razor when paired with the right blade. I may push one more shave out of Rapira as it still performed as good as the first shave. I know that many prefer the other Rapira blades, but for my beard type this one is near perfect. Went back to the Semogue 620 today as I am trying to get it good and broken in. I can see why this particular model is a favorite with wet shaving enthusiast, it's a great brush. Three passes and touch ups and I very close to a BBS. Finished with the Krampert's, my face feels ultra-conditioned.
Tuesday: soak brush/Savile Row 3824/Ayars Bowl warm shower Proraso PrePost cream GFT Sandalwood shave cream mixed with 4 drops of M-Bomb Gillette Slim set @ 9/Polsilver Super Iridium (1) cold water rinse Monster Block Alum cold water rinse Thayer's Medicated Superhazel D.R. Harris Sandalwood splash Great shave from the Slim/Polsilver Super Iridium, hard to say after just the first shave, but it sure shaves like the old Super Iridium.Very smooth even with a Slim on 9,I did my usual 2 pass face,1 pass head and needed no touch-up work anywhere.Once again it's hard to tell after just 1 shave but so far I'm liking this blade better than the old Polsilver.

The Voskhod is a picky blade for me. Picky in the sense it does great in some of my razors, so-so in others. Today was so-so.
09/04/2012, Tuesday A typical start to my day with a hot shower. Facial prep with Prairie Creations pre-shave soap. This is an excellent product. Reached in to the back of the shelf grabbed RazoRock Fresco, for the featured soap today. The next brush up in my rotation was my Parker "King" Badger. This is the biggest brush in my den, it does a monstrous job in lathering. My choice for "Adjustable Theme Week" is a "Fat Boy". The "Fat Boy is loaded with a "Wilkinson Sword". It was day three for the blade. Two passes dialed to #6, the last pass dialed down to #4. I 'm really enjoying the "Fat Boy", it has taken awhile to understand it's personality. Now that I do I'm rewarded with fantastic shaves. To finish up a generous splash of cold water, rub down with alum, a splash of Kanaga Water. Results a near prefect DFS. (Dare I say nearly a BBS) Everyone have a great week!
