Definitely the Caldey Island one. It's rare, works like a charm and smells like heaven (pun intended )
Any after shave from a barber supply store. My barber lets me add to his orders which saves me shipping cost since he buys enough to meet the free shipping threshholds. Stephan: 320 Alpine Menthol Bay Rum Spice Pinaud: Classic Bay Rum Osage My next order will include Lucky Tiger products. I feel like the king of cheap aftershave . Bob
I guess I have to go by what aftershave bottles are almost empty: Proraso splash Speick 1/2 empty or (1/2 full depending on your disposition): ToBS St. James Musgo Real Getting alot of use: Alt Innsbruck Spanish and Italian Floid Always in the rotation: Old Spice Aqua Velva Tabac Pinaud Bay Rum What was the question?
hard question to answer.....Let's see now: 1. Old Spice 2. Mennen Skin Bracer Original 3. De Vergulde Hand balm or a/s spray 4. Musgo Real 5. Anherb a/s conditioner or gel 6. Nesher Man (from Israel, lots of menthol!) 7. Tabac not necessarily in that order.
Jason, I grew up with that stuff. Even the company's name is Nesher, it's an Israeli cosmetics company.
No trader Joe this is not a trick question. I am trying to get an idea of what the best after shaves are by polling forum members. In this poll Old Spice wins with three votes, Pinaud follows with two votes and aqua velva with one vote. I excluded votes for items that I can't get in my area. I understand that Jonnie Gold likes Proraso Splash, but I can't that one therefore Proraso is out. May try Old Spice.
High end: DR Harris Sandalwood. In a league of it's own. Price wise: Master's Lord and Master Pinaud Clubman Musk Close tie between those two.
Niether Mandosval's high end nor Isaac's favorite are availabe in my area at any price. And I have only one variety of Pinaud Clubman's available in my area. I'll take mandsoval's post as a vote for pinaud since his high end is not available to me.
Based on what is available to you, Pinaud Clubman is worth a try. You may want to check if there is a Sally's Beauty supply in your area. They carry Pinaud for cheap as well as Master's Bay Rum which is also very good. As for the DR Harris, you would have to order that by mail. At $45 a bottle however, it's something you'd want to sample before putting down that kind of change.
John Michael Kohler Well if you are basing this on a poll, the best won't win, only the most popular will. However, the best is John Michael Kohler.
You are right madosoval. There is a sallys some distance from me. If I do decide to go check out that place my wife is going to think that I have taken leave of my senses, but when have I ever paid any attention to her. How does Acqua Velva mesure up in your opinion?
