I know. You're about the menthol master over here. I'll try the Ingram some more first. See if it's addictive!

Saturday morning, October 6, 2012 Schick E2 Injector razor w/ Schick blade (6) Semogue 1305 boar bristle brush, Arko shaving soap w/ hot water lather, finish with cold water rinse for a DFS!
10-6-12 Razor: Parker 22R Blade: Astra Soap: Daisy Mountain (Sedona) Brush: TBS Very nice BBS today. I used the rest of the lather in the bowl to wash my hair as hate to waste such skin conditioning benefits. Enjoy your day!
Saturday 6 October, 2012 A long hot shower this morning. After showering face prep with Prairie Creations pre-shave soap, a-one for prep. Today's brush was the LuJin Badger. Featured soap RazoRock Caco. Today's lather was fantastic!! A small tweak with the water amount earlier this week has brought the lather up a notch. Last day for the Gillette OC and Super Max platinum before a razor and blade change. Day four a little drag on the blade, still performing well. The shave was a near perfect DFS. Cold water rinse, followed with warm water rinse, one final cold water rinse. Facial rub with alum. A splash of TSD Coconut Lime Verbona, and TSD Angel milk. Everyone have a great weekend.
Brush:Mekur Futur in Silvertip Cream: La Toja soap Razor: Futur Blade: Shark Cologne: Jucy Coture Dirty British Special note of thanks to Sparky....the way that you have programed the upload of pictures and posting of these "reply" posts is simply the best. I think about your efforts in setting up this site that I have enjoyed over the years and wanted to let you know that it is appreciated. Doug
Proraso Omega Boar Astra SP Magic Shavette Alum/ VS ASB I went and found me a Magic brand shavette in Sally's for a few bucks. I gave it a whirl and it shaves nicely. I think it's not the best one as I had to play with getting the blade in straight for a little. Overall a good shave, I may have to look into getting a higher quality shavette.
Shave of the Day (SOTD) Saturday October 6, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in cold water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, tepid shower Razor: Cadet TTO-15 Blade: Vokshod Teflon Coated (3) Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar Soap: Tabac AS: Aqua Velva Musk Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave This will be the last shave with the Vokshod. I could probably push it for another shave, maybe two but I felt the slightest amount of tugging ATG. As it stands now the Semogue 1438 boar is my favorite brush for face lathering. I find the size and stiffness of the knot to be just right for using with soaps such as Tabac. Speaking of Tabac, I cannot believe how long this soap last. For the first three months it appeared to be growing daily. Only recently have I been able to close the lid properly. Three passes today along with some light buffing on my neck provided BWS (Brazilian Wax Smooth) results.
Oscar, this forum needs a REALLY LIKE option tag for your pictures and kit! After a nice hot shower Edwin Jagger DE87 with a single shim and a BIC chrome blade Edwin Jagger Super Badger in Ivory - medium Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap - face lathered Barbershop Bay Rum after a cold water rinse Astral cream Great shave today, really, really smooth and very comfortable. So looking forward to my JEC handle which will just put the icing on the cake of this combination. Once I get my butterscotch Rooney reknotted with a new TGN 2-band finest 24mm, I reckon I'm sorted and might just settle with that and sell the other razors. With this result, what more do I need?

Sunday Prep: hot washing cloth Music: Vangelis, Cousteau Brush: Wilkinson Sword badger Cream: Ingram Razor: Gillette Old Style OC Blade: Derby Shave: 3-pass + touch-up Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse The Ingram is starting to grow on me! The Wilkie pumped up some great lather and the Gillette mowed all to a soft BBS! I'm starting to really like the menthol effect. Nice! Have a great day, ya'll!
10-7-12 Shower: River Bend Soap Razor: Parker 22R Soap: Omega (hot water lather) Blade: Astra Brush: TBS A nice DFS today! Warm water lather was very enjoyable. Have a nice day!
Sunday: Turkish Horsehair Dovo Bismarck 5/8 Fume Lavender SS Hega AS Chabrawichi 555 Cologne Every week I look forward to shaving with my Dovo Bismarck because it relaxes me and lets me really feel like a true traditional wetshaver. The Fume Lavender soap has such a nice scent, and does it ever give tons of rich lather. It comes from Turkey, but it has nothing to do with Arko. I absolutely LOVE the Hega aftershave and the Chabrawichi cologne. Today's shave was like from paradise!
Sunday evening: Pre Shave: Hot Shower / Proraso PSC Shave Mug: Old Spice 60's Shave Brush: Men'sBiz Super Badger Shave Soap: Palmolive Shave Soap (stick) Razor: Merkur 34C Blade: Personna Red (1) Post Shave: Cold water rinse / Nivea PSC 3 passes for a DFS (WTG / XTG / ATG) with touch ups on the neck. OK, the Palmolive Shave Stick. I think I have been spoilt by Shave Creams. I shaved (grated) some soap into a hot mug & let it sit in hot water while I showered. I pre soaked the Badger & in about 90 seconds had enough lather to shave a small village. I didn't feel the soap gave the layer between skin & blade the cream(s) do. The new Personna definitely didn't glide as easily as the T&D SC on Saturday. I am going to try putting the soap directly to skin & lathering on Tuesday to see if it makes any difference. Actually, I will use the Palmolive all week & give it a good run. I got a good clean DFS with the soap, but it was a totally different feel to the shave. Not a smooth as cream in my opinion. Also alot of residue left on the blade, razor & mug. I hope everyone has a safe & happy Sunday.
