After 3 shaves with this soap, I put it right up there with my favorites. I don't know if Ian sells this stuff, or if he plans to, but I'd recommend it. Very easy to load, plenty of lather, and a great slick feel.

Sorry no pic today, no time. Great shave this morning. I'll admit to kinda being a snob when it comes to brushes, I like boar and badger, traditional brushes. The H.I.S. synthetic is making me see the error of my ways, I really like this brush. Well, have a good one, I don't think I will.

Wednesday Happy Halloween

The day started with a great hot shower.
I have samples of various of croaps, today I tried the sample of R-160.
Brush choice was an Omega "48". With very small portion of the soap, the Omega whipped lather that was jumping out of the bowl. The more I whisked there were copious amounts of lather.
Day three for the SS and Dorco combo. This combo has been a delight to shave with.
Three passes were a treat today. A warm water rinse, followed with the briskness of cold water, the finishing touch with Clubman Vegtal.
A spooktecular DFS.

Then I put on a warm wool sweater and went for my two mile walk.

 

Brad, thanks for the Halloween picture theme. I remember one year that OUR FAVORITE SPARKY turned the entire website into a halloween theme. It was wonderful.

Easy two pass DFS! Been using MWF so regularly the last few months that I'm almost due for a replacement puck . Got other great soaps, but for now ... I just can't stay away from MWF! Not necessarily a bad thing .

Great shave! I really need to get some unscented Thayer's, though. The rose and lavender don't always meld well with certain other scents. The above is an example, but I can't help myself. I LOVE that fresh healthy feel from the Thayer's!

 

Wednesday, Happy Hallow-e'en!

• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

Better lather today. I guess that hand lathering is more a cream thing than a soap thing. The Treet blade, however, was in a double Hallow-e'en mood: trick and Treet. So no candy but an extra blade in the vault.
