Are you just starting out and have dozens yet to try? Have you tried all you care to try and have settled on one or two? Or are you like me...somewhere in between? I've have, or have had, 48 different blades. Of those, I've tried 23 and have 25 yet to go. Having so many to try, though, has not stopped me from stocking up. Not at all. I have 100 or more of the following: Rapira - Swedish Supersteel - 100 Astra - Super Platinum - 100 Ladas - Super Stainless - 265 Personna - Lab - 300 Voskhod - 910 I know there are some great blades I have yet to try, but if I find something else that works great for me, I'm not sure what I'll do. I have nearly 2100 blades right now. I was sitting happy with 530 Voskhods, but I had the opportunity to get 400 more at $10/100 shipped so I jumped on that, then sold 20 of those right away. 2012 was spent experimenting with blades, but I think I'll put that on hold in 2013 and start experimenting with the 20 DE razors I have, and find out how the blades I've stocked up on work in each of those.

I started with Derbys and Personnas. Personnas worked splendidly and have been my blade of choice ever since. I've gotten a few blade samplers, but never got around to trying most of them. I'm just too happy with my Personnas to bother with anything else. I did get in on the Voskhods and got 100 of those. To me they work just as well as Personnas.
I'm still open to suggestions.. I've heard good things about Voskhod's and Super Max Super Platinums. I've not tried those yet. I just really liked those that I've got a quantity of..

I have 100 Personna Medical Prep blades that I just received yesterday others include: Lord platinum derby wilkinson shark and totally out of Feathers. IF the med preps hold up to the reviews I have read, I may be able to hold off getting more Feathers for a while.
Started with Derbys and then ran the gamit from there trying all sorts of blades. I ended up where all I use now are Feathers however I look forward to trying the Voshkod at some point in time. Then seem to get great reviews. I currently have: 50 Derby 100 Sharks 150 Feathers
I started with Feather, tried many other brands but right now I have less than 10 of about 10 random brands, and a little over 250 Voskhods. I think I may switch to something else though now that JoAnna has mentioned the last bout was one of her last orders of Voskhods available. Gillette blades work well and they are slowly becoming more available in Canada.
I guess I have 12oo blades , no more testing. My top 3 are Polsilver, Voskhod, Gillette Sharpedge. Haven't found any blades can beat'em so I'll stick with them.
You've got the the same ones I prefer, especially the Astra SP and the Personna. I'm beginning to think some blades may be universally workable for most everyone and others definitely a personal preference.
Funny thing about those Astras. When I bought them, I didn't even like them, but the temptation to get 100 of them for $8 was just too great to resist. They just never worked well in my 38M. Thankfully, I did discover that they are excellent in my Techs and my Old Type.
300 Personna Labs 200 Israeli Red Pack Personna 120 Coated Gem SE dozens of miscellaneous - Voshkod, Wilkies, Derby, Astra, Feather, Lords, Treet Blues, etc. These I am saving for my son to try. I am done experimenting and sticking with what works well for me.
I am 1/4 way into 100 Feather pack and really like them. The Derbys and Personnas I still have (about 20 of each) are really just picking up dust. I wouldn't mInd trying Voshkod and Astra SP. I hear good things about those. If anyone would not mind the trouble to ship a sample my way (Canada), I'd pay the postage and blade pack.
