Prep PSC Gillette Menthol SC Frank Finest Badger - Fan Shaped Edwin Jagger DE89L Razor Feather Blade (2) Baxter ASB Floid ASL - "The Genuine" Had to get up early again this morning so I needed an easy shave. I really love the DE89L, it is very easy to use and provides a very close and comfortable shave. I really enjoy my post shave balms and the Baxter of California balm is a real treat. The Floid aftershave is also one of the best products I have ever used. It never stings and has a fantastic scent. Cheers, Lyndon
Wednesday.... 2nd consecutive day with shavette Arko Shave Stick/Omega 10029 Baby-Pro Sedef Disposable Blade Straight/Rapira SS,d1 Arko Nem moisturizer/Old Spice AS 2 passes, WTG/ATG...DFS Neck and chin a little red, but close and smooth...most strokes went smoother and felt more natural...bottom lip to chin is the problem, still haven't found the angle for me...razor sticks and getting lots of weepers there....Top lip, cheeks, and jaw line is a breeze...both WTG and ATG...
Simpson Duke 3 AOS Lavender Soap Progress Personna Med Prep 3 passes Master Lilac Vegetal As the AOS Lavender Soap ages, the scent of lavender is dissipating. After almost a year, all I can smell is a clay like scent. While AOS soaps lather quickly, they don't necessarily make lather as slick or protective as those costing much less. Arko soap stick performs as well if not better for about $2 and change per stick! As time goes on I think I enjoy the scents and performance of many artisan soap makers, including TSD, much more than the AOS type soap makers! Also, the cost savings allows me to purchase more product, further feeding my purchasing disorder!!!!!!
Feather AS-D1 Gillette 7 o'clock blue TBS Maca Root Omega Mighty Midget Old Spice Pure Sport A/S WHOAH do I love the Feather. Didn't feel like I was cutting anything but after the 3rd pass I rinsed and felt a great DFS+. Had a test shave yesterday and Voskhods don't seem to cut it with this razor, I'm going to have to order a new sample pack and see which work best - Feather & SI are on the top of that list. Can't wait for this iKon OC base to finally show up sometime. Should kick the feather up a notch in aggression but still remain smooth.

Hump day! Prep: hot washing cloth Music: Neil Diamond, Moods Brush: Travel King boar Soap: Sara-S's Mint Razor: Ugly Duckling Blade: Astra Super Stainless Shave: 3-pass + touch-up Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse, hand strop blade Excellent DFS++ Lately I've got the jaw line covered. No more stubble remains over there, due to some more stretching: grab my cheek with my fingernails (fingertips are too slippery) and draw upwards). So now only a few short and stubborn whiskers on the Adam's Apple remain. But hey, I'm not complaining. The rest is nice 'n' smooth! Have a good one!
01/09/2013, Wednesday Hot shower begins the day and my beginning prep. Today I did not use any preshave soap. Omega 48 was the starring role brush for today's act. I chose RazoRock Caco for today's soap. Razor choice Gillette SS and PolSliver (day 4, the blade has begun to drag). Blade and razor change on Thursday Excellent two pass DFS.

Wednesday Hot washcloth Mystic waters unscented soap HIS synthetic brush EJ DE89 ivory handle Gillette 7 o'clock blue Excellent lather from the MW soap! The hot washcloth treatment makes a big difference. I got an excellent DFS in two passes. Usually I feel the need to go on to the third pass, but this time I felt my face and decided it was great just like it was! I still had lather in the brush.
Wednesday W.H. Morely & Sons 22mm Silvertip from Whippeddog Proraso old formula Nivea Cool Kick Pinaud Clubman Terrific second shave of straight week. I'm definitely getting better with my straight.
It is you who introduced me to these two wonderful creams - I knew about Aspis and SuperMax Classic, but I never had tried the menthol version or Pascale!

Prep PSC Mama Bear's SS - Drakkar H.I.S Synthetic Brush Titan H1 Razor Feather Blade (3) Vifrex ASG Aqua Velva Musk ASL I really like the great lather of the Mama Bear's soap but I find it irritates my skin. So far I have only tried two different flavors (Drakkar and Brute) and they both caused irritation. They produced a sensation that was remarkably similar to razor burn. This is kind of strange because my skin is not normally sensitive. I love the way the soap lathers though, so I will probably try another scent that is more mild. Suggestions welcome! I am not sure the Feather blade is a good match for the Titan H1. I think it is a bit too sharp and too thin which makes it difficult to use. The Vifrex has great good skin care and I love the AV Musk aftershave. It's a good product for the price. Tomorrow I hope to use one of my Feather straights. Cheers, Lyndon
