I tried VDH Deluxe for the first time today. For a buck and a half, it seems like one heck of a deal. It made a nice slick lather that I really enjoyed. I also tried my new Schick Krona today for the first time. It felt nice with a fresh Astra SP loaded. I went for a 2-pass DFS. Didn't quite get it but quit after the 2nd pass anyway. I've realized a work-week of ATG passes with touch-ups does seem to get to me by Friday after all. A weeper here and there has left me with some red spots on my neck that don't seem to want to go away quickly, I think because they get a little irritated every time I go ATG. So I've decided my weekends will be for comfortable shaves and working on getting to the point where I can get a 2-pass near BBS that's good enough to get me through a work day.

Saturday British Aristocrat Personna Crystal MWF The Grosvenor Proraso splash and balm I had an awesome lather this morning, but the blade didn't perform as I had hoped. It left me sore in a few spots. It was a good shave though.
Saturday 1/19 Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Prep-Hot Shower Facial prep-Proraso preshave soap Brush-Semogue OC Soap-Haslinger Blue Razor-Gillette English Rocker Blade-Lord Platinum A two pass and minor touch ups results were a near prefect DFS.
I'm debating about either the Proraso White soap, Erasmic soap, or the Noxzema cream. In any case it won't be a usual face-freezing shave because I want to use one of my Booster aftershaves when I'm done!
I do not know who made it. I purchased mine from ItalianBarber, but he is out of stock. And since these are NOS I suspect he is out of stock for good.

Welcome! Everybody loves Big Macs so I am sure you will feel welcome here!! Very nice shave setup. I just love the TOBS creams. I would say they are the best of the big three "T"s (GF Trumpers, Taylors and Truefitt & Hill). Actually Truefitt might be number one but you pay for it. When it comes to excellent value and performance, you just can't beat TOBS. IMHO of course. I am sure you will enjoy TSD. Cheers, Lyndon
1.19.13 SOTD Saturday Pre-shave - Hot shower, Nivea Face Wash, Hot Towel Cream - ARKO Citrus Brush - 24mm WD Silvertip Blade - Personna Red Razor - 1940's Tech A/S - Arko Cool Balm All software today was ARKO. Just that kind of day today I guess. Used the Tech today since its the first time ever that I have shaved three days in a row. Gave a three pass DFS with the Personna red blade in it. Think I might try a feather in it tomorrow if I go for four days in a row.
Somewhere in the house I have some Arko Citrus cream. I owe myself a shave with it, because it's very nice and refreshing.

My next appt with the neurosurgeon is the 28th of January .... my most recent MRI was for the birds .... still too tight of a space .... but it is done. If surgery is required I will have two disc in my neck removed, replaced with bone and a titanium plate ... I am still processing that .. my voice could change ... paralysis .. I am praying for God's will here!
