Sorry PoM, your right, let me retry that statement. I wasn't making a complaint about Whipped Dog, I absolutely love my Whipped Dog straight and silver tip. It's Just one of the many ways he saves cost is by not fully restoring straights, rather he "refurbishes" them. The general condition of the straight can vary, but every razor does come honed to perfection. Another package today, I swear I don't have a problem. Here's my Georgetown pottery G5 scuttle. First up is a Russian DE adjustable razor, (Basically a Gillette black beauty copy) with case and original instruction (not that I can read em or need em lol) I was only expecting to recieve this tomorrow from friend in work but they dropped it off for me last night, I gave it a quick go set to 5 (It has 9 setting in total) nice smooth shave. Next up a Wilkinson sword sticky arrived in th post today, not a bad 24 hours really considering Ive got a throat infection and on antibiotics, but these have put a smile on my face, I know I was not planning on getting much stuff this year lol, but I got the pair of them for £20 so I dont mind too much. Cant wait to try the Wilki tonight as it looks so good.
I did a test lather right away and man it was it a breeze! The scent is not what I was expecting. It's actually way more mild than I thought.
Yeah the lathering is awesome! Some people go in about how it smells like crazy and stinks up the house...etc. I'm glad to hear that you don't think that! it is a nice scent.
I'm jealous. I LOVE MdC but I'm still a little too cheap to order some However my Birthday is coming up in March and my family loves gift ideas they can order for me online...
It definitely doesn't smell up my house. The scent to me is more earthy than anything. The mint smells like I'm sniffing a potted mint plant. I can also pick out the rosemary and lavender. Everything to me smells like real and not artificial which I love. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's shave!
