• Prep: Brush soaked in hot water, hot shower.
• Razor: Matador Toro Mastif Corto Open Comb
• Blade: Chroma Diamant (3)
• Brush: Vintage Stanley Home Products restored with TGN 22mm Fan High Density Finest Two-Band Badger Knot
• Soap: Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal/Sensitive Skin
• AS: Nivea for Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm (old formula)
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, double application of aftershave balm
This was my first brush, and after my restore it will be my last, unless I can find another handle just like it to restore or a NOS version of this brush. This is everything I wish for in a brush.
The more I use the Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal, the more I like it. It is a real toss up between the this and the Proraso blue as my favorite. I love the Red but it I need to be careful using it as I am sensitive to Sandalwood.
Third shave on this blade and it still feels good. I am going to try to push it to see how many shaves I can get from it, at $32/100 they are not a cheap blade, but I would rate them very high on my list. It is too bad I have about thousand blades as I would buy a few hundred of these.
I decided to try a more aggressive razor today to see how many hours I can maintain a DFS. The shave feel awesome today.
