Nice shave this morning. The Veleiro SC is seldom talked about but a very good cream, IMO. I'm a little indifferent to the scent but that's normal for me. There are very few shaving products that I'm wild about regarding scent. Have a good one.

Prep: Brush soaked in hot water, hot shower.
Razor: Matador Toro Mastif Corto Open Comb
    Blade: Chroma Diamant (3)
Brush: Vintage Stanley Home Products restored with TGN 22mm Fan High Density Finest Two-Band Badger Knot
Soap: Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal/Sensitive Skin
AS: Nivea for Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm (old formula)
Post: Cold Water Rinse, double application of aftershave balm

This was my first brush, and after my restore it will be my last, unless I can find another handle just like it to restore or a NOS version of this brush. This is everything I wish for in a brush.

The more I use the Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal, the more I like it. It is a real toss up between the this and the Proraso blue as my favorite. I love the Red but it I need to be careful using it as I am sensitive to Sandalwood.

Third shave on this blade and it still feels good. I am going to try to push it to see how many shaves I can get from it, at $32/100 they are not a cheap blade, but I would rate them very high on my list. It is too bad I have about thousand blades as I would buy a few hundred of these.

I decided to try a more aggressive razor today to see how many hours I can maintain a DFS. The shave feel awesome today.

I love the shaves I get with the OT Gillettes. With a quality blade they are outstanding in producing close, clean and comfortable shaves. This mornings shave had a retro feel to it with the mug SS and barbershop style brush. I love my Semogues and Omegas but these classic handled brushes are a pleasure to use and have an air of hostalgia with them. This mornings shave was first rate in every sense!

Just got this Tech in the mail last night. I gotta say that I'm really digging all of the Tech's I've used, but this one shaves the best so far. I really liked the feel of this razor. I think the lightweight handle makes the head feel really heavy compared to my other razors. Anyway, I got a DFS in my normal 3-pass with no touchup.

I never really thought about it but the TOBS hard soaps don't get talked about much on here. I've always had a lot of luck with mine and it's so hard that I've had mine forever and it looks like a brand new puck. Super smooth shave after taking a few days off. I switched back to my 34c and threw in a new Astra, I had to look to make sure I had a blade in it at first.

I am continuing the New Shaving Bowl experiment, today, I am using Col. Conk's Lime Shaving Soap. I loaded the brush for about 30 seconds and then made my lather in the bowl. In about a minute I had this terrific lather. I love this light lime scent. I did two passes and some touch up for a great shave.

For this experiment, I am continuing to use my Gem Jr. 1912 with Gem/Personna SS PTFE blade

The shaves you get off these shavettes can be addicting. Very close and smooth with 1/2 of an Astra blade. The scent of the Proraso is excellent in my opinion, now if I just don't burn out on it. I feel the need to make another comment on the Veleiro SC I used yesterday. I really enjoyed the scent post shave, so I guess I'm not as indifferent to the scent as I thought. Have a good one.

A very small weeper near my chin, otherwise a perfect shave - this European Gillette Menthol cream is so much better than its Lebanese counterpart. Great lather, a very nice scent, and plenty of iciness. The Svoboda balsam healed the weeper in no time, and the AV gave me that final frigid blast which I love so much. ;) :D
