Originally I had planned to use another cream for today but since my dear friend Luke gave me such great inspiration, I decided to go with the Proraso Blue and I'm so happy that I did. The scent is classy and nice, it lathers so easily and rich, and the skincare is fantastic. It has just enough menthol in it to give a very light cooling effect. The Tabiano gel is another terrific Italian aftershave product, and the Canada Cedar is one of the few aftershaves which my wife really likes on me - what a nice surprise. I cannot tell you guys how much I enjoyed this shave!

I will definetly buy this Aftershave.For now i use my sample.It´s really awesome!!!The scent is absolutely wonderful and the feeling to the skin is outstanding.I found a new "Must have" Aftershave.

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Sunday February 10, 2013​

• Prep: Brush soaked in hot water, hot shower.​

• Razor: 1930's Bright Nickel Replated Gillette Short Comb NEW mounted to Matador Toro Mastiff Corto Handle
• Blade: SuperMax Super Platinum (2)
• Brush: GDC Handle with Ace Shaving 22mm High Density Silvertip
• Soap: De Vergulde Hand Extra Fris
• ASB: Nivea for Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm (old formula, not pictured)
• AS: Brut Attitude
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, double application of aftershave balm, slight amount of aftershave.

The SuperMax SP performed very well today in the short comb NEW. It took 3 plus passes, but it was an irritation free shave.

I have not used any other brush since I have done the restore to the Stanley. The Ace knot is about as dense as the TGN XH (extra hair) two-band, but I must give the nod to the two-band for being softer.

The Brut Attitude pairs nice with the DVH Extra Fris as they have similar base notes.

• Prep: hot washing cloth
• Music: Philip Glass, Akhnaten
• Brush: Omega travel boar
• Soap: Daisy's Mountain Naturals, cold water (that's its scent; I used hot water as usual )
• Razor: Gillette Old Style OC
• Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock yellow
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

Really nice shave. Came close to a BBS, but along the jaw line some hairs were left over. The blade has served me well for ten shaves or more, so I retired it. Sorry, no pic today.

Very nice shave with the VDH soap, just love using this cheapo stuff. Bumped up the razor to 4 and 5 and seemed to get a much closer shave and "0" weepers or irritation.

 

Man I copped one of these; back in the day; the first time I saw one...I loved it then...would probably love it now...
At the time I had a hard time getting blades...Not real hard but not everywhere like Schick Injector blades were...wish they were now... So I just kept getting Injector blades when ever I needed blades because they were there for one thing...And shortly there after the Trac II kidnapped my whiskers...
