In the UK most drug stores (we call them chemists or pharmacists here) are gearing more towards mach 3 blades and so-called modern shaving creams. However "Superdrug" in Glasgow city centre are currently selling Ingrams menthol shave cream for the absolute steal price of £1.79, and also my local drugstore are selling Wilkinson Sword safety razor blades (packs of 5) for 79 pence !?! Needless to say I bought £10 worth of blades (basically 12 packs of 5).

David, I absolutely LOVE Ingram! It's my #1 favorite of all menthol creams, and I was lucky to receive a few as gifts from a wonderful chap in the UK. I'm also an Erasmic soap lover, hence my avatar!

Crackstar-Ingrams used to be REALLY popular when I was growing up as a teen in the 70s. It's definitely got a loyal following, and to be quite honest I started buying it again when the guys on this messageboard were praising it's virtues.

I wonder if there is a new term in the Oxford English dictionary to describe an addiction to menthol shaving cream? ;)

You are absolutely balmy, shaving cream is shaving cream and if you start fantasising about it then you are cuckoo, grow up.

Welcome to TSD, although insulting other members isn't a great way to start off your posting history here. You should probably re-think your only post in this thread and on this forum.

wow your first post is an insult. With bad spelling and punctuation to go along with it.

I think we just need to delete that post and ban this guy. We don't need people like that here!

David, be very careful. Respect your fellow members here, and you will always be welcome. If not, you will be warned, and if you do not change your ways, we will have to ban you.

Wilkinson Swords Blades are my blade of choice

I think the UK Wilkinson Sword blades are some of the best blades out there.

Looking forward to seeing your first review of squirty foam from a can.
However, I'm sticking to the Ingram.

I agree with you 100%--Ingram is joy and pleasure to shave with, and it does pride to the skin! :D

That's funny, before I saw this thread I had posted in another thread that Ingram is a good substitute for those who miss Proraso Red. Ingram is an excellent cream.

I do find very pleasant as well but might be a bit too much for the Proraso Red fan. It packs quite a punch:D Very nice stuff though!

In UK don't forget erasmic stick (tallow based not new formula) or Palmolive stick or cream...all excellent and really cheap and easily available.

When I first started with a DE I got Merkur blades since it was a Merkur razor. Since they were so much better than the Gillettilator I'd been encumbered by, I stuck with them for ages. Then, one day, I picked up a pack of Wilkinsons from a chemist's in Yorkshire, and my face is still thanking me :) Oh, and my local chemist here in London stocks them for 95p for 10 - still cheaper than Superdrug! :happy093
