This is one of the coldest set-ups a menthol freak can possibly enjoy - all these items deserve the symbol for a very good reason, which is because they all freeze the face like the Arctic. The Gatsby facial wash has a great lemony/sporty scent and as soon as you apply it, the iciness begins. The Permafrost stick is ALMOST as cold as Iced Subzero, and the Diana Sport balsam can out-freeze the Penguin and the Rubby Dubby Dub!

I haven't been in the Den for the longest time, been madly busy at work, then with several weeks of travel and, finally, last week with a local house move.
During all this time I did of course not ignore shaving (how could i?) but all that shaving was done only with either a straight or an SE.

My travel set-up in February (most of that month) consisted of:

Logona Mann shave cream
Muehle Travel shave brush, Silver Tip Fibre
Cobra Classic SE w. Feather Professional blades
Bloc Osma Alum
Musgo Real Classic AS

My home set-up this week is still centered around the Cobra, with Calani Purissima shave soap, Musgo pre-shave oil & Classic AS, same blades & same alum. Oh, and my go-to Muehle Basic Nr. 02 brush with Silver Tip Fibre.

The injectors looked surprised that I took one of the DE razors. My last shave with the slant must be 0ver 5 years ago. At that time I thought it was too aggresive, now I know better: it's all in the technique.

Great shave today,BBS face and dome

 

Quick shave this morning, I had quite a bit of snow to get rid of. I used a sample of TOBS Coconut SC and had a good shave but I didn't get through it without a nick. The aftershave skin care appears to be excellent the scent is o.k. and might even grow on me a bit but nothing to go crazy over.

These have impressed me. 5 shaves per blade that were very smooth and comfortable, didnt want to push my luck so I let it retire gracefully at that amount. Should be done this exercise end of the week but then I have to get ready to disappear to some random field in Alberta for a month in the bush.

Solid two pass DFS! A little nick under nose. In a hurry, so I pulled out the cream.

Settled into Omega Pro boar for my creams and Semogue 2000 for most of my soaps. More of a preference I suppose, since they both work work wonderfully all around.
